A spokesman for House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Chairman Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) confirmed to Breitbart News on Wednesday that the chairman is currently drafting legislation that would grant legal status to at least some of America’s 11 million illegal immigrants.
On Tuesday morning, The Hill reported that Issa was working on such a bill. “Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) has also started work on a bill that would deal with the immigrants living in the U.S. illegally, and has been briefing stakeholders on it for feedback, according to three people familiar with the matter,” The Hill’s Jennifer Martinez wrote. “It’s unclear when Issa will put the bill forward, sources say, but his aim is to jump-start a discussion in the House about the divisive issue.”

How about the people who obey laws and get to have our votes watered down or countered by illegal alien lawbreakers? How about crimes against illegal aliens are not researched or enforced, so limited police resources can be focused on crimes against legal immigrants or legal citizens?
How about the illegal alien criminals return to their home country with their US born children. Such children are not then under US jurisdiction, and do not fall under the 14th Amendment rule for citizenship.

I have been slapped down on this site several times when I said Issa is all huff and puff with NO RESULTS EVER!!!!
He is very good at starting investigations but has no ability to close the deal. I say he is just another GOPoser.

I’m curious about something. How many republicans who proposed or voted for something that many here on FR disagreed with had a primary opponent who went on to win the general election? Or, did the primary opponent win the primary and then lose to the democrat?

I’ve been the first to defend Issa on the investigations, but, on its face, this is indefensible.
Perhaps he is passing preparing a joke bill to demonstrate the idiocy of amnesty, but that only opens the discussion to more damaging legislation. Yes, that’s a stretch.

What's the problem with unemployment hovering at 8% in this country when millions are out of work, haven't worked in years and unable to get a job today - why because the companies pushing Shamnesty, are happy to hire illegals and continue to do so!
Unless and until unemployment hits, say 5% (considered full employment) then and only then do we begin talking about granting some kind of legal status for others already here seeking employment, not before!
I wouldn't go that far to "grant" citizenship to people who enlisted in the Military because people can enter the Military with criminal records, especially in the Army.
It's one way to get away from bill collectors, paying child support, etc.
The 2005 "Shamnesty" attempt, also was happy to grant "amnesty" to people in prisons, criminals on the lam, and others with criminal records (besides continuously breaking into this country, which I personally consider criminal but I seem to be one of only a handful of people with this point of view.)
Nope, before I'd consider any kind of legalization, I'd rid our Congress of guys like Issa and others eager to grant amnesty of any kind.

The Senate immigration "reform" bill (passed in late June) contains a Medicaid mandate similar to a provision found in the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare). the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) financial impact score of S. 744 shows that it would in fact impose a $20 billion Medicaid expansion on states. According to the CBO, this provision would occur over a decade-long period after the President signs the bill.
"In assessing the impact of the bill on the federal budget, CBO estimated its effect on federal and state spending for Medicaid. S. 744 would have the result of increasing the number of individuals who would become eligible for either full Medicaid or for more limited emergency benefits,” the CBO writes in the section of its Senate immigration bill score on mandates to states. US Dept of the Treasury Says Illegal Aliens Collecting Billions in Tax Credits According to the US Dept of Treasury’s Inspector General, more than $4.2 billion in additional child credits were paid out in 2010 to illegal immigrants. In 2005, the pay outs totaled $924 million.
This program allows low income earners to claim a $1,000 per child credit. $20 billion EITC is estimated to have been paid out to these cunning "impoverished" illegals.
Most of them are collecting over and over again-----using multiple identities-----falsifying official apps---claiming children they do not have and/or falsely stating kids are back in their homelands.
REFERENCE March 8, 2012 KENNER, La. -- Kenner police arrested illegal Marvin Baca who sold false W-2 forms to another illegal immigrant for $1,500. Baca sold fraudulent W-2 forms for $1,500 to other Hispanics here illegally.
Police said that on one of the forged W-2 forms had a SS no of a person living in Virginia. Police said illegal Hispanics purchase fictitious W-2 forms and file false tax returns with the government to receive EITC refunds. Baca was charged with one count of ID theft and two counts of forgery.

A WTHR-TV Indianapolis investigative report exposes a fraudulent scheme wherein the IRS is sending $4.2 billion per year to illegal immigrants as an "additional child tax credit" for children who don't even live in the U.S. Further, the IRS and Congress have been ignoring the scheme for years. The Inspector General's office has repeatedly identified the problem in audit after audit.
The IG, Russell George says, "The magnitude of the problem has grown exponentially," but the IRS is doing nothing to stop it. "It's so easy it's ridiculous," the tax preparer whistleblower who exposed the fraud admits.
