(Reuters) - The dollar fell to eight-and-a-half-month lows against the euro and a currency basket on Friday on expectations the Federal Reserve will delay scaling back its monetary stimulus following this month's political battles over the U.S. budget.
Volume was thin as investors braced for a deluge of U.S. economic data next week now that the U.S. government was open following a two-week shutdown. The September nonfarm payrolls report is due on Tuesday.
The first wave of U.S. data released on Thursday after the government returned to work was fairly upbeat.
September U.S. payrolls are due next week, with the market forecasting a jobs gain of 180,000, according to a Reuters poll.
"The market impact may be somewhat dimmed as investors do not believe the Fed....has a critical mass of information to act materially different compared to the September decision," wrote UBS in a research note.

Exchange your DWINDLING American Dollars into ammo. And canned goods. And more ammo. And drill a well. And pay off ALL debt. And buy more ammo. And buy a generator. And a composting toilet. And with whatever is left, buy more ammo. :)
Obama and the democrats are already blaming this on the “Republican House Government Shutdown”.
Anything bad that happens to the economy between now and the end of Obama’s second term will be blamed on the government shutdown. The American people will buy it.
It’s going to take a lot of work to reverse this propaganda from the left. Things are bad in Venezuela and the leftist government also uses this tactic. Everything gone wrong is blamed on the “evil United States”. The leftist president in Venezuela has manufactured so many false crisis’ and made up so many excuses that I’ve lost count.
Today it’s hard to even plan a vacation outside Venezuela because in order to book a flight you need to do it months in advance, wait in line and often times you get bumped and need to start over again.
So far, the people seem to buy the lies hook, line and sinker.
Since Obama has taken the White House I often look at Venezuela to see what’s coming down the line for us. So far, it’s been a relatively accurate forecast. That’s most unfortunate.

American businesses need to come back to America, and Americans need to sell stuff.
What did we think would happen, if we sent all of America’s factories to China?
Bring them back. Now.

We have the people. We have the talent. We have the raw materials. The problem is and always is government.

Then they need to explain the Dagong downgrade. If they blame us, we refer them back to the Dagong downgrade and it will leave them stuttering and stammering and looking like the lying, manipulating fascists that they are.

The problem is decades of entitlements and militarism resulting from the artificially inflated dollar demand caused by the petrodollar arrangement. the typical solution is to stick one’s head in the and and pretend otherwise. Some of us think buying guns, gold, and ammunition makes more sense.
I’m not against Cruz. I wish he would have made a better case for his position at the time but there were many forces arrayed against him. It is, therefore, up to us to make his case after the fact. this debt ceiling fight isn’t over. it’s just getting started.
However, businesses leave the US because of excess regulation.
Add a garden to your GGA, and you've got something that can keep you alive, if you have the skillsets.

I blame those who think the USA is a massive ATM, for “their” checks, but say nothing about out fiscal disaster that will soon ruin us all. I blame those who care more for politics than Jesus Christ.
You've blamed most everybody.
Aren't you a government employee?

If it comes down to needing guns, gold, and ammo- we aren’t going to have a lot of time for planting and tending gardens.
ugh. so sucks. anyhow. yep. work in progress.
Thanks Diana
