Shots don’t bother me at all, but OCare sure does.

I don’t mind the needle when they take blood-just shots.

Goes waaaaay back to childhood trauma involving an accident and stiches. The adults did manage to give me a shot once during school vaccinations but it took 8 of them to hold me down.

Dad told me years later, when kids are old enough to go to school, they are old enough to talk them through it. Once you hold them down, though, they never trust you again.

Mom was the one that signed the papers, but she never did it again. Weird thing is she was more afraid of shots than I was. I did get my shots from the Dr. from then on, because I knew they were necessary-still hated them.

I always took my kids to the dr for their shots, and they never developed the same fear that I did. I always told them truthfully, you will be getting the shot.

It will hurt a little, like when you accidentally stick your thumb sewing. I will not let the dr proceed till you give the nod. We will not be leaving in time for your favorite tv show unless you nod pretty quick.LOL
