The government shutdown, by one estimate, sucked $24 billion out of the American economy in just two weeks. How about we send the bill to the Tea Party?
According to Time magazine, the shutdown cost:
About $3.1 billion in lost government services, according to the research firm HIS.
$152 million per day in lost travel spending, according to the U.S. Travel Association.
$76 million per day lost because of National Parks being shut down, according to the National Park Service.
$217 million per day in lost federal and contractor wages in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area alone

The legitimate Tea Party doesn’t have an address to send the bill. The legitimate Tea Party is footing the bill anyway.
A hugh THANK YOU to the TP for saving taxpayers 3.1 billion dollars. YAY!!
Just losing patience. These creatures think they have done their transformation, not just of the US but of the world. And every marxist/leninist, stalinist and muslinazi are crawling from under their rocks.
Time for steamrolling, ideally.
1. Any costs incurred are incurred by the us the people. The government has no funds.
2. Keeping the government from spending unnecessary funds SAVES us the people that money.
3. Therefore, we should shut down the government quarterly and balance the budget.
True, from the only measure of a successful economy- one that produces products and services people WANT and can pay for.
The mil-industrial-medical complex is taking all this over— and we are just churning... not earning.
I’m just glad to see Heller getting his butt kicked in the comment section.
The first recognized slave-holder in America was African-American. It’s hard to pay yourself.
Yeah, we’ll pay that bill, just as soon as the Democrats pay for all the money they have sucked out of the economy with Obamacare.
Send your medical bills to any asshole actor in Hollywood.
Send your medical bills to any asshole actor in Hollywood.
Have the gov’t workers return their furlough pay and the Nat’s Park service budget cut to cover costs of their unnecessary and unauthorized work.
The shutdown didn’t need to cost a friggen nickle!
If they can find “the TEA party” and make “them” pay the bill, maybe “the TEA party” can strike a deal- we pay but we get back control of all our national monuments, lands waters and parks
for that I would contribute
(PS: from that bill for “lost govt services” please subtract the cost of congress, the white house, barry cades, barry-cade movers and salaries of park rangers who falsely imprisoned tourists at Yellowstone under armed guard or otherwise participated in “punishing” taxpayers on our dollar
Why, yes there is an address:
Tea Party
C/O US-HUD
Cabrini Green
Apt 101
Chicago, IL 60601
First thing out of his mouth was how much “they” say the shutdown cost the government.
I asked him who “they” were, because “they” were obviously misinformed. He said it was on the news, so it was accurate. Oh, says I “the media that's in Obamas pocket? The media that refuses to report how his precious government treated We the People during the shutdown? That media?
I told him how armed guards, obviously paid, were used to keep the men who fought for this country away from THEIR memorial during the shutdown. I told him the government has no money that they have not taken from us in the first place, etc. (shortened version, but I had my say)
As I continued, he got that stupid look on his face that liberals get when challenged, then continued on like I had said nothing.
I'd finally had enough. I said “Listen up Joe (not his real name), If you are not to the right of this issue, you can quit talking right now”. But my controlled rant didn't stop there. I can't honestly remember every point I made, my words seemed to have lives of their own.
Poor guy practically ran out of the office.
Wish I'd have thought of it sooner. Like I said, he's an absolute bore.
Hah...check’s in the mail Andy......

Andy is struggling to find the final solution to the tea party problem.
Next time, get it on video. Would’ve loved to have seen it on YouTube! ;-)
LOL a picture is truly worth a thousand words.
