The article on weapons testing at Aberdeen was interesting. Mass production and ‘serviceability’ won the war. Most people when comparing tanks or planes of guns, neglect that reliability and easy of repair are hugely critical to combat capability.

The average physician wage was $8524 in 1942.
According to BLS that is the equivalent of $122,304.76 in 2013.
