I noticed the bell bottoms, too.
I know they were popular in the 70s.

ha. The bell bottoms picture got misplaced I caught that as well Also, most of the background music was from the 1930's, as were most of the recordings in the display of 78 rpm records in slide #71.

My how weve fallen Indeed! Yesterday, I substitute taught at a local high school. When the announcements were read over the PA system, students were urged to come to school on Friday wearing purple to "show your LGBT pride."

I don’t “remember” any of this, haven been born in 1970. However, I learned much of this from my parents (born in 1944 and 1946), plus history classes.
I pay less than $1.00 for a dozen eggs now, so that price hasn’t risen too much.
FDR died on my birthday (years before I was born, of course).
I find the upbeat jazz music truly odd juxtaposed against the images of the atomic bomb detonation over Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
And a burger for 15 cents then is more than a burger for 99 cents now.
Thanks!

i was born in 55 so my first memories were from 57/58 but a lot of that stuff was still around like some of the cars, radios, tv's etc. except the picture of the bell bottoms near the end, don't remember that till the 70's but all in all it was pretty cool
