It may have been their glitch but I’m still not sure how they would have known the limit on each person if the cards were not working properly.

Having people come up to the cashier with ten shopping carts full of meat should have been questioned.

I think there was some malicious compliance by the front line employees. That is, they were helping their neighbors stick it to the wealthy corporation. I wonder if some of this was facilitated by the employees themselves? Did they call their neighbor and have him load up some carts and then split the food with the employee the following day?

I’m pretty sure I’d read that the store manager consulted with the main office on what to do with the situation.

The right answer was to limit them to $50.00 worth of food.

problem is that the cashier might have known about this and got on her phone to text her pals and family to come on down quick and get to aisle 5 where she was.
