Because we have a bunch of permissive idiots is the main reason.
Doesn’t single-payer cover that?
I really gotta get out more. This is the opposite of my mistaken impression of VT.
Well, there you go.
Because the citizens want to escape Vermont and its the cheapest way.
If its more than Oregon I’d be seriously surprised.
Higher income levels in Vermont? REALLY? I hated the place when i lived there, it was like poverty-town, everyone worked for minimum it seemed, and there was really no hope of a decent paycheck to be found in the state unless you were a high-tech import in Burlington.
They do mention Montreal, so I can see Vermont being along the way if you're going to Boston, but not too many people who are going to NYC or Philadelphia are going end up saying, "Look! I'm passing through Vermont!"
I’m more concerned with Colorado having the “highest” reported Cocaine use.
Maybe it’s because dropouts have found their way to VT since the 1960s. I don’t use drugs, but I’m not uncomfortable in the VT culture, which is artistic, laid back, and individual.
If your fellow citizens had elected Bernie Sanders to the US Senate you'd be taking drugs too.
They traded their souls for a godless, materialistic, relativistic, extreme leftwing worldview. What did they get in return? Bernie Sanders and Patrick Leahy.
There is no reason for hope for anyone who goes over to the dark side.
Liberaltarianism. Next question.
Because they’re degenerates?
Actually it seems most Americans are high on something.. not all but most...
Not necessarily drugs.. but drugged on something..
If you elected Barry Half-White twice you’re quite delusional.. probably a Mad Hatter..
You know.... celebrating yur Happy UN-Birthday..
I would be doing drugs if I had 11 and 1/2 months of snow a year and was surrounded by Democrats
Stupid useless article.
The headline says “Here’s why...” but the article doesn’t tell us why. The best it can do is: “ but I don’t think anyone knows for sure”
Here’s why: more people use drugs because more people use drugs. That makes as much sense as the article.
Wealthy, childless “back to nature” hippie retiree baby boomers.
VT is a state in a death spiral, there are now more people age 65+ than there are school age kids, there are more deaths than live births. There is no future after high school for the few remaining kids in the state as the watermelon socialists have regulated industrial, commercial and most agricultural activity out of the state.
But man, do they have some great microbreweries and grow ops.
