I bought the Sony Walkman Pro....in 1987

Metal Case...Speed Adjustment so one could tune it to a piano...

250 Bucks...

26 years and one bicycle accident that Dented the case fairly severely. it still works.. although I never use it.

It was the deluxe Ipod of its day

One invention I’ve wondered about is pockets. It’s pretty hard to imagine, but we didn’t have them until a few centuries ago. Can you even imagine having to carry everything you needed with you in a bag, or in your hands, or even stuffed in your clothes, all the time?

I’ve read up on it, and nobody seems to have a clue who invented the first pocket. We can pinpoint a general time when we went from no pockets to pockets, but the inventor, probably some nameless tailor or seamstress, is lost to history.

Nothing can beat the artificial intelligence of a simple thermos which can independently determine when to keep the contents cold and when to keep them hot!

Excuse me if I curb my enthusiasm (no pun intended) until a working model of a flying car is invented and made available to the general public and Wal-Mart customers.

I have not read the article yet.

But, my Great Grandmother told me the greatest invention was the push button starter for cars.

She worked as a teen and hated that she had to wake her brother every morning very early in order to crank start the car for her.

She was about 5 foot tall and probably never weighed more than 100 pounds.

Missing is the stuff rotating in that oven at 7-11, air bags and the designated hitter rule.
