I'm just curious but has even ONE person in the entire country even signed up for ObamaCare? I mean you just know there are liberals out there who would love to proclaim that enrolling in ObamaCare is doable but as yet NOT ONE has made any such proclamation.
Oh yeah. A certain Chad Henderson of Georgia made that claim last week and for a day was hailed by the MSM until it was discovered he was lying. So far I have read NO names of successful ObamaCare enrollees. Does that mean that a 2000 page law with 20,000 pages of regulations which will cost TRILLIONS of dollars has yet to get just ONE person enrolled in ObamaCare?
I want to see names. The name of at least one person/sucker who signed up for ObamaCare.
I’ve been to site dozens of times only to find that it’s still broken.
It knew what kind of car you bought? That’s impressive.
The best silver plan I saw still had a $2500 individual/$5000 family deductible. Figure the kids get one well check a year, and everybody sees the doctor maybe three times a year when they get sick. A family of four doesn't get there. Maybe if mom goes in for a normal female checkup and a mammogram?
It depends on the meaning of “signed up”. After the online registration process, the prospective policy holder’s information gets passed to the individual insurance company which issues the policy. We know some of that information has gotten through because the companies are complaining of error rates in the data ranging from 50 to 97 percent. Whether any policies have actually been issued is a question I can’t answer.
Hello, my name is Charles Adobo. My late uncle, the honorable Cecil DeMildew was the Finance Minister of Nigeria until his escape plane was shot down as it was about to cross into Upper Volta airspace. As a result, I can no longer afford to live on the Riviera and must earn my living as an ObamaCare Navigator.
So let's get started with the easy signup process. I will need your name, email address, phone number, social security number, and, most importantly, bank account number. Please be assured that the information you provide will be strictly private before being shared with a plethora of law enforcement agencies, the IRS, the NSA, and DNC.
This is a healthcare insurance right? What the heck are they asking if you have a car? Are you going to drive yourself to the hospital? Also Pet insurance? I think maybe we should all apply for pet insurance, I bet that has a much better deal than ODumbocare. Sheesh let it crash. I went to Cover Ca and they only asked how many people in my place, how old am I, and zip code so when I clicked next nothing happen which is a good thing.
I am 59 !/2. got “retired early” I have had private insurance for 2 years and the cost was raised to $269 per month this last March. It is 80/29 with a 3000 deductible. I just got a letter from BCBS saying my rate was going to $728 per month. The new and improved plan requires me to pay 40% of office visits and prescriptions. I am currently paying $20 for both. Geeze ain’t this great. I can’t keep my healthcare plan even though I am pleased with it. I don’t have that choice. I guess I’ll just pay the freaking fine.
For a couple of decades, health insurance hasn’t been true insurance but instead has been a form of pre-paid medical care. When you subtracted the amount necessary to cover a potential catastrophic claim, and the amount necessary to process claims, the left over portion of your premium was usually somewhere around the average amount of services your cohort used. With all of the mandates that are now attached, that computation is meaningless. But, hey, we wouldn’t want to have Fluke’s friend pay for her own birth control would we? That’d be m-e-a-n.
You’re absolutely correct.
And the disconnect between payer and user has produced the expected results.
I am going have a go at tracking the Obamacare Enrollment numbers. Right now the data is both rare and untrustworthy but I do have one entry that looks legit:
Maryland 326 from a 10/7/13 Hot Air article and elsewhere.
If anyone sees any data that looks OK I would appreciate it being posted. I follow the Obamacare topics pretty close and I will pick it up. If all goes well I will post summaries in a table format periodically.
So, thirty attempts and at least five hours and I still don't know what is being offered or what it costs.
ObamaCare = FAIL!
The two most common responses from the ObamaCare site are:
Please be patient. The website is busy serving other people.and
System unavailable.I suspect that is how the ER will respond a few years from now when a sixty-year-old presents himself with complaints of severe chest pain. Unless, of course, he's a politician, retired politician, or government employee.
VA, Affordable Care Act and You
What is the Affordable Care Act?
The Affordable Care Act, also known as the health care law, was created to expand access to coverage, control health care costs and improve health care quality and care coordination. The health care law does not change VA health benefits or Veterans out-of-pocket costs.
Three things you should know:
1 VA wants all Veterans to receive health care that improves their health and well-being.
2 If you are enrolled in VA health care, you dont need to take additional steps to meet the health care law coverage standards. The health care law does not change VA health benefits or Veterans out-of-pocket costs.
3 If you are not enrolled in VA health care, you can apply at any time.
Veterans Enrolled in VA Health Care
The good news is that Veterans enrolled in VA health care programs have health coverage that meets the new health care laws standard. You do not have to take any additional steps to have health coverage. Read more if enrolled
Veterans Not Enrolled in VA Health Care
Veterans not currently enrolled in VA health care program can apply for enrollment at any time. Read more about enrolling
Family Members
VA offers health care benefits for certain family members of Veterans through programs such as the Civilian Health and Medical Program of the Department of Veterans Affairs (CHAMPVA) and the Spina Bifida program. Read more about VA family programs
Your family members who are not enrolled in a VA health care program should use the Marketplace to get coverage.

We have “retiree” health insurance also....it got raised to @$1200/mo for us two....with $2500 deductible each...the company sent letter saying some of us may want to look at the State Exchanges....hint...hint...
Classic.
I had a similar thing happen to me. The amount of the premiums are staggering, however the coverage is awful, awful. Not only is my premium going up from 422/mo with a 5000 deductible and 40 copay to doctor to 649.88/mo they (bcbs) have suggested a replacement policy that’s a hsa with a 6250 deductible and must meet deductible before doctor visits and all else. I am looking at Aetna. I think their coverage is more generous. I don’t know what’s up with bcbs. Most of bcbs policies offered in Florida are hsa and hmo’s.
Obamaphone woman likes the dental plan.

I don’t know where you went but I didn’t have to input any of that info to find out the cheapest policy for me and hubby is $1197 per month.
