Cherrington, Farrell, LA Dodgers, FA signings, Cabrera injured, staying healthy, Uehara’s brilliance, weak NL opponent, etc., etc., etc... EVERY star lined up for BOS to win this year. Enjoy it worst-to-first Red Sox fans, ‘cause it’s not likely to happen again next year. In fact, I was listen to 98.5 Sports Hub today and this scenario came up: If the entire team was kept together would they win next year? The answer was “no” and I agree. It’s been AWESOME to watch; this season was a most improbable gift.
“I’m actually glad it’s over.” I agree; the stress (even though the WS wasn’t close) was enough. It’s a main reason (along with Dumb and Dumber) that I didn’t watch
the last three games (save for the 9th inning last night).
Erin Andrews: She serves as eye candy and nothing more.
This is cool, too: https://twitter.com/ShaneVictorino/status/396023944010268672/photo/1
We’ll do it again at some point!
Cheers!
Big Daddy’s boys showed up for work at nearby job site at 6 AM and there were still people in Fenway Park, lights on, crowds on the sidewalks!!
Go figure!
Big Mommy was in a coma!
LOL
I forgot to congratulate ex-Cub Dempster. 3IP 1R in this postseason
Congrats, you ginger g***!
So Dempster was "pitching" at Fenway at 3 AM, then signing autographs for fans outside the park?
Darn, I was up past 3 AM last night. Unfortunately 110 miles away from Fenway though... ;-)
Yup... I agree. Injuries late in the season can really play havoc with any potential post-season wins.
Uehara IS brilliant... a joy to behold. He's 38 now... I wonder how long he can keep doing this?
Calling the win a “gift” is most annoying. They worked hard, they played well, and they won.
The Shane Victorino post was fun though.
He has a special spot in the hearts of my family because my DIL was born and raised in Hawaii.
