We’re headed for a Dalton Minimum, says climate guru

“The government is preparing for warming, which is outrageous.” Low sunspot activity means “the cooling will continue at least until 2030.”

Last week, the IPCC reported it was 95 percent certain that climate change was the result of human activity, specifically the burning of fossil fuels that emit “greenhouse gases,” says this article on WND.

“That’s the result that they get when you premeditate your science,” said Dr. Tim Ball, former professor of climatology at the University of Winnipeg.

“The temperature is going down and has for 17 years while carbon dioxide increases,” Ball said.

The IPCC and other scientists have branded this as a “pause” in climate change. Ball said that characterization implies that temperatures are temporarily holding steady and will inevitably rise again soon. He said that conclusion is dead wrong.

Cooling trend will continue for years to come

Why? “The sun is causing the cooling,” said Ball. “We’re heading toward what occurred around the year 1800. It was called the Dalton Minimum of low sunspot activities,” he explained. “We certainly are down to that in number of sunspots this year. That means the cooling will continue at least until 2030 and yet the government is preparing for warming, which is outrageous.”

“Some people think that this cycle of sunspot activity and global cooling will take us down to as cold as it was around 1680, which was the nadir of the Little Ice Age,” Ball added.

The southern hemisphere has been cooling for some time, said Ball. In fact, new reports from the National Snow and Ice Data Center suggest Antarctic ice levels are at record highs.

However, he believes the clinching evidence comes from the Arctic Circle.

“This was the year that even one scientist at NASA predicted that the Arctic ice in the summer would be gone completely,” he said. “Well, there’s 60 percent more ice this year than last year and the reason is because of the cooling sun and the cooling temperatures.”

The world is lucky to have a scientist as courageous as Dr. Ball, a scientist who dares to stand up and tell the truth.

>> There is nothing nonsensical about making reference to a comparative event in the past when you have no existing event in the future to which the comparison can be made.

If the event to be compared hasn’t occurred, the historical event would only be potentially comparative rendering the assertion of a nonsensical comparison comparatively relevant.

It would be irrational to compare one’s first child to the second that has to be conceived. And for the fugly, it would likely be a fantasy to refer to the unlikely one night stand as a comparative event.

Good luck surviving with no electricity and GE modified seeds.

...or IOW coal, and heritage seeds will be of some importance in the future. Coal miners will certainly appreciate the lift from pariah to prince. Hopefully we will not have forgotten how to use coal to produce energy.

Year Without a Summer

The Year Without a Summer (also known as the Poverty Year, The Summer that Never Was, Year There Was No Summer, and Eighteen Hundred and Froze to Death[1]) was 1816, in which severe summer climate abnormalities caused average global temperatures to decrease by 0.4–0.7 °C (0.7–1.3 °F),[2] resulting in major food shortages across the Northern Hemisphere.[3][4] It is believed that the anomaly was caused by a combination of a historic low in solar activity with a volcanic winter event, the latter caused by a succession of major volcanic eruptions capped by the 1815 eruption of Mount Tambora, in the Dutch East Indies (Indonesia), the largest known eruption in over 1,300 years. The Little Ice Age, then in its concluding decades, may also have been a factor.

Obama Climate Advisor Stepping Down

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama’s top adviser on environmental and climate issues is leaving.

Heather Zichal has been advising Obama for five years and is the architect of his climate change plan. She also advises Obama on energy issues.

Zichal plans to leave the White House within a few weeks. The White House hasn’t announced who will replace her.

But her departure comes at a key time for Obama’s climate plan. The Environmental Protection Agency is moving ahead with emissions limits for new and existing carbon plants to curb greenhouse gases.

Obama’s chief of staff, Denis McDonough, says the White House will keep pressing ahead on efforts to reduce carbon dioxide pollution and prepare communities for the effects of climate change.

Actually the EPA has proposted regulations to ban (90% of) woodstoves (forcing people to buy “ultra-clean-burning” stoves, which are much more expensive...and never needed in real wilderness/very rural areas (where woodstoves are often used)), even prohibiting selling a used woodstove...BUT, I don’t believe the regulations are in effect yet, SO....TIME TO WRITE YOUR CONGRESSMAN!
