Have no idea what Obama’s strategy is beyond vindictiveness. It is obvious whatever strategy they had is not working or they would not be expanding the shutdown of their own organization. At any rate, people need to learn to live without the fed, which was bankrupting and imploding due to debt. Now it appears to be committing suicide. Whatever, as long as it disappears as quickly as possible. Then we can write of the debt and rebuild like a phoenix.

I hope the trees dont stop growing. Because all of that nasty CO2...the trees are GROWING FASTER....
...and deserts are blooming in Australia, Africa and the Middle East.

Well they have to, because republicans can’t get 100% of what they want.

Just in time for peak fire season here in CA.Last I heard, firefighting was deemed essential. This from folks I know who work for the Forest Service. Of course, to screw those in the west, even worse than they have already, Dear Leader's regime could change that.

This is k|`@q.
First the NPS needs to be parted out to the States, now the USFS.
Cut their budgets to Zer0.

Hate to point this out to the feds, because the last thing I want to do is help totalitarian fascists, but every day a web site is down, every day a park is closed and every day a service is shut down, you lose long term customers. They look elsewhere and find other alternatives. Once those alternatives are established, why ever go back to an unreliable situation ?That's what they want. They don't want you out and about. Poking around in the King's forest. They want you crammed into the city.

Ski Areas on FS land to be shut down?
That'll be fun.

There isn’t any snow yet so I guess they would have to ski rocks.

Great! No more tree cops.
No so. All USFS employees were furloughed, including supervisors, EXCEPT for law enforcement.

As far as I know. They no longer legally exist. All the states have to do is proclaim a breach of the management of that trust and declare those lands “state” since the contract has been violated. THESE LANDS ARE MANAGED UNDER A TRUST BY THE USFS AND PARK SERVICE.
Then, it is up to each state what they want to do with those lands.

Apparently it’s time for the interested States to take advantage of the “crisis”.

When you see sighs saying that the parks are Heritage sites it means that Klinton signed them over to the UN as security for the national debt.

According to studies, the National Parks generate $3-4.00 of revenue and tax receipts (from surrounding businesses) for every dollar spent on the Parks. Smart going, guys! They are showing their true colors.

Eff the UN. They are not the ones managing these lands. And then, the UN can try and do something about it.
