A good friend of mine worked at Aramco for a while in 1977 or so. Upon arrival, the Saudi customs people went through his wife’s glamour mags and carefully covered up every photo of a woman baring arms, legs or torso with a black Magic Marker. She got to keep the marked-up mags. It was hilarious and pathetic.
I resent your remark that it is women who gripe and complain. Men do plenty of griping and complaining too.

Men complain about 1/5 as much as women do in our culture.
Nah. If you ever want to see a pity party in full swing go to one of those threads where men say they are the only ones getting picked on. The "Woe is me I am so abused" is well beyond hip deep.
But of course they at the same time will be proclaiming that "They never complain".
Saudi Arabia has to be the most inbred and backwards hole on the planet. Oh, yeah, it also has the Muslim’s holy sites of Mecca and Medina. How quaint — 1,400 years of stagnation unmarred by progress.
How much training does it take to peddle drawers?

Agreed though maybe even less. Their entire approach is different, and generally better as well as much easier to understand and arrive at solutions.
Woman don’t like to hear that but you can’t change the facts just because you don’t like it.
I learned well about how men approach issues over that of woman in my work years ago....it has changed very little except that men have to be more careful so as not to step on the toes of “sensitive” woman. Which IMO is ridiculous...
I saw many issues NOT getting resolved because woman were making issues over the most stupid things.....and it was endless!
Woman do offer a side of issues, but for some reason they can’t let it ride after they present it.....and they don’t handle defeat well at all.
Nah.....I’ll disagree...I don’t see that at all...unless they’re trying to engage the woman at their level. Woman understand better the woe is me...then men..and men know that.
But males are every bit as good at throwing pity parties as females.
And hold grudges? Oh yeah, twenty years later they are still telling you about how some girl wouldn't go out with them or how the referee blew that call or their boss just didn't appreciate them.
I have come to the conclusion that whining knows neither age, race or sex. The thing they all have in common is an ungrateful heart.
I just avoid them. You can't talk people into being happy.
That’s what happens when you subjugate women and don’t educate them.
What a bunch of crybabies, to boot.
I agree.
I saw it plenty in the workplace as well.
Their entire approach is different, and generally better as well as much easier to understand and arrive at solutions.

I agree. Usually men get to the point and are interested in problem solving, whereas many women just want to pick at little peripheral issues and whine.
Of course, I consider myself a woman who is above such behavior. :) Actually, I usually catch myself when I am acting like that (I think...).

Yes, and woman bring ‘into’ their workplace all the emotional drama going on outside the workplace far too often. Imagine a man coming into work saying he’s having a bad hair day! As if that statement covers whatever personal problem their facing before they got there.
I’ve worked with men and woman...and both together...by far I’ll work with a group of men over woman any day! You always learn from them and they are generally on top of what’s going on...And, as you said, they are indeed interested in problem solving and see these as a challenge to overcome.
Woman on the other hand see a problem as something in their way and react to it emotionally before they can get into the frame of mind to solve the issue...and that they can nurse for hours on end!
What was that line from "As Good as it Gets"...."First, I think of a man, and then I take away reason and accountability."
