While I have not been in America for almost ten years, I do watch American TV via my G-sat. My most popular channel is the History Channel. What shocks and amazes me is that most all of the women on all of the programs are slathered with Tattoos. Is this a new phenomena in America? Have women degraded themselves to such an extent? Some may think it cool. I think it is disgusting.
When grunge music started getting noticed outside of Seattle and then Allen Iverson joined the NBA, tattoos became popular again with young people and its continued. So its been a litle over 20 years that tattoos have come back in vogue with some people.

They seem to be going out of style here. Five years ago the young were all tatting.
Now the lower classes still tat but middles and uppers do not unless they are drama queens (male or female)
That’s a great idea. In fact, I’m kind of amazed such a thing doesn’t already exist. There could be 1, 5, and 10 year options. Or maybe they could be permanent until you took a pill which would completely erase them.
Excellent post.
I see women with tats everywhere I go. Not just young women but women older than me. Tats on their legs, arms, back, chest, you name it. Some are like small butterflies but some are massive detailed things that I have no idea what they are.
Have no idea what this is about and why so many women are getting them but yes I think it looks trashy.
Very trashy. Don’t do it ladies. Or guys.
one in one hundred look good, and that is NOW, not 20-30 years from now...
LOL. I USED to think so.
"Go Away. Baitin'."
(or, "Go away. Using Windows 8.")
Yea and that rule applies to both men and women.
I thought that was MSNBC.
Sometimes it applies.
Thanks, FMJ.
Pretty interesting thread. Heh, some poster was upset we were discussing tats and piercings when there are so many far more important things to talk about...gotta be able to multitask nowadays...:)
"Dog friends, he's still the same - Alex is a POS. That is my opinion, your mileage may vary."
Yes, ma'am...you're right, but again, I refer to the stopped clock being right twice a day.
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
Actually, since it is a prominent visual manifestation of our social decline, it is an “important” topic.
