While I have not been in America for almost ten years, I do watch American TV via my G-sat. My most popular channel is the History Channel. What shocks and amazes me is that most all of the women on all of the programs are slathered with Tattoos. Is this a new phenomena in America? Have women degraded themselves to such an extent? Some may think it cool. I think it is disgusting.
Mom, meet my boyfriend, Snake...
it didn’t have to be a large one, just that she had to give you one.
for me, it’d be a blue dot. “what’s that?” people would ask. I’d say “the earth from jupiter.”
note, some people wear oversized stuff because they are ccw’s .....
i hate flip flops. and crocs.
flip flops and sweatpants in church get to me. on the one hand they need to be in church. otoh they have no idea what decent clothing to wear to church. and no, these are people who have money and have good clothes.
depending what the ink composition is, some are easier to get rid of than others.
exactly. but consider the mindset of the people who do wear them, they think and care nothing about their own personal safety, leaving that up to fate or others to defend them. they are the 911 sheeple.
to be honest wearing suits everyday, to everything, just is overkill. it also takes the specialness of suits away. and also drycleaners would love it and i don’t feel like propping up that industry, and getting into the whole “we didn’t shrink it” crap.
When grunge music started getting noticed outside of Seattle and then Allen Iverson joined the NBA, tattoos became popular again with young people and it’s continued. So it’s been a litle over 20 years that tattoos have come back in vogue with some people.
I havent been to Walmart in a couple years. I have seen a few tramp stamps but not many women slathered with tattoos.
There are times when I believe many of the posters here believe women should follow sharia law, staying home and covering all skin when in public.
Do they still use the term “control freak” these days?
It’s funny Marcella, when I got up this morning the first thing I pondered was: why do so many women in the U.S. have tattoo’s??? I mean really, THIS IS THE PRESSING ISSUE WE ARE FACING!
What a little troll, in the state we are in the last thing anyone is wanting a question to is this crap.
Small minds ponder small topics.
They may not like tattoos, Alex, but these misguided patriots think they have to defend even the worst aspects of this culture against dirty forinners and dirtier expats.
Few decades? Dude! Just the other day I saw an ancient hag in a grocery store stamped all over both shoulders proudly displayed bare for all to see (and vomit.)
Same mileage here Marcella. Gutless, America bashing jerks are just exactly as we call them. That POS definiton fits fine with me.
Now imagine half the old ladies you see looking like that. The future!
My husband (age 78) got his in about 1959 or â60. You can imagine how bad they look now. Before a person embarks on a tattoo they should find an old guy and look at his. I think I remember reading that the treatment to remove a tatt thinned and or damaged the skin.
Good point, I didn't stop to think of that.
I agree. I know some folks can’t afford dressy clothing, and that’s fine-—they should come wearing their jeans or khaki pants, as long as they’re clean. But it seems some have forgotten they are entering the Lord’s house to worship Him.
