Overloaded websites and jammed phone lines frustrated consumers for a second day as they tried to sign up for health insurance under the nation’s historic health care overhaul.

That was putting pressure on the federal government and the states that are running their own insurance exchanges to fix the problems amid strong demand for the private insurance plans. …

The delays that continued Wednesday offered one good sign for President Barack Obama and supporters of his signature domestic policy achievement, demonstrating what appeared to be exceptionally high interest in the new system. But the problems also could dampen enthusiasm for the law as Republicans use it as a rallying cry to keep most of the federal government closed. …

I’d like to see the report detailing how many original and unique views the site had and the actual number of people signed up. I’ll bet that number is pathetic.

1%.

There is a difference between the MSM and the press in Orwell’s “1984”. In “1984” the press was part of the government. Our MSM whores for big government for free.

LOL

Out of hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of unique visitors I’d guess that number is 0

They actually had 4.7 million unique views within the 1st 24 hours
http://www.washingtonpost.com/national/health-science/obamacare-site-goes-live-with-some-glitches/2013/10/01/380a4300-2a9d-11e3-8ade-a1f23cda135e_story.html

If it were 1% that would mean 47,000 Sheeple signed up and I’m certain the Jack Wagon in Chief would be crowing about that number.

Since they aren’t and some estimates peg the percentage of enrollees at as high as 0.58% then it’s safe to assume they got less than 1,000, which would make sense as some states have no enrollees yet and the highest participation is about 150 from a single state.

Still, I believe they said they would be happy to trick 7 million into taking ObamaCare as their insurance provider by March 2014.

Only way that happens is for them to dangle shiny objects like ObamaPhones and Sweepstakes.

When you offer something of value that people perceive as being "free" or even heavily subsidized, there will naturally be an interest in obtaining it.

When people discover how much this pig-in-a-poke is really going to cost them, both directly (premiums and deductibles) and indirectly (lost jobs, wages and employer-subsidized coverage) they will be less than thrilled.
