I thought DoD civilians and active military were funded at last minute by a separate bipartisan CR?

Oh maybe Obama didn’t sign it?

Defense Department officials said last week as many as 400,000 civilian DoD workers — roughly half of its civilian workforce — will be furloughed starting today.

Not passed by the Senate. And that CR was only for active duty military to be paid, NOT DoD civilians.

I get it that it's an inconvenience for federal employees. But at least you have a stable job to go back to. What about the millions of workers whose jobs have been outsourced or been lost to invaders? What about all of the jobs that won't happen because the dems in the Senate wouldn't even abolish that horrible medical device tax?

If the federal government doesn't (if it still can) turn things around, there won't be a federal government to be employed by.
