I’m sure “annoyed it off” is a much more apt description.

Corgies are even more annoying...they were bred specifically for that characteristic.

Poor dog...he didn’t fight the bear off...he was a chew-toy.

That’s why people refer to Corgis as referees.

Believe it or not, "weiner dogs" are the most ferocious dog breed, according to statistics. Tough 'lil guys. The only reason they don't have a bad reputation about it, is because they are too small to do real damage.

I have a dog, whom I have no doubt would sacrifice herself for me... I am not worthy...

The name means “badger hound”. We had a full size/full blood one when I was a kid. Sweet disposition, but he backed down from nothing. He was kind of a stretched and lowered pit bull.

Yes, he became the target, but nonetheless the hero.

I don’t think the little guys know what it means to yield. It can be annoying to the larger dogs that wouldn’t otherwise respond aggressively.

We had a standard Dachshund when I was a kid.

He bit everybody in the house except my Mom.

Poor guy used to get tossed out into the snow getting blamed for stinking up the bedroom while my Dad lay there snickering.

When you have 4 inch legs, being thrown into 6 inches of snow in the middle of the night out of a deep sleep kinda sours ones attitude.

In Europe, dachshunds are somewhat larger, and regarded as the best general purpose small game hunting dog. Those raised as badger dogs can be downright ferocious. Perhaps their biggest advantage is that they fight with the attitude of a coyote, to kill, rather than that of most dogs, which is to dominate or determine pack status.

There have been instances of dachshunds killing much larger dogs, because they will go underneath them and tear open their abdomen.

There is even a North American Teckel (dachshund) (hunting) Club.

That weiner dog had more courage in his four pound body than the entire Insider Washington Republican Establishment.

Have a mini dachshund. She saw some Canada geese in the yard and took off after them. There were about six goslings and 3 adults. The one male turned and stood his ground, spread his wings and reared his head back and waited for the dog. LOL! The dachshund must not have looked up and charged right into the goose’s chest and the goose bit her in the ass.

Poor dog let out a yelp and came running back just as fast as she “attacked”. Only on the return trip she had her tail planted firmly between her legs. That’s when my black lab decided to intervene and this time, the big male decided to get the flock out of there. But from then on, the dachshund would just watch the geese from the window and growl... ;-)

The same could be said for a submissively urinating pomeranian.
