Today Rand Paul went on Hannity, and Hannity did a great job grilling him. He continually asked why the Republicans can't stand as strong as the Democrats, and Paul just kept saying that the Republicans are not united enough and don't have the leverage. He said he didn't agree with Cruz's strategy and that a government shutdown would be hurtful to the Republican party. It really could have been Mitch McConnell talking...who by the way Rand Paul has already endorsed. Hannity practically hung up on Rand Paul, and that really surprised me because you never hear Hannity treat Republicans that way. I was very proud of how he handled the interview with Rand. I'm really disappointed in how quickly Rand seems to be moving away from the people and into the establishment. Anybody else catch the interview?
Yep, I sure did catch it.
I missed Hannity’s introduction and didn’t know who he was talking to at first, though I realized it had to be a powerful U.S. Senator.
What really surprised me, was Rand Paul’s tone. He sounded just like one of the old Washington dinosaurs. He was just dripping with self-assured power, influence, and importance. He sounded arrogant and disdainful to me.
He kept insisting (like McConnell and Cornyn) that the Republicans are outnumbered, and that the Republicans have little chance of defeating anything the Dems and Hairy Reid want to pass. I was practically livid at his attempts to solicit my surrender.
I’m telling you, Rand’s been bought off. I’ve come to the conclusion that his earlier performances were calculated threats to the establishment, designed to make them come to him, and offer him the very best terms to turn his coat. I think it’s a fait accompli now. He’s joined the establishment cabal.
What are we supposed to do? Swear our undying allegiance to these politicians - even when they stab us in the heart?
Rubio got what was coming to him for supporting the amnesty bill by the Senate Gang of 8. He sold his soul to the devil to support that evil. He was (and still is) rightfully condemned for it.
He told Hannity he would. I heard him say it on the show today.
Amen, Jane. I'll be right there with you when the time comes. Corny has GOT to go.
"I'm Barack Obama, and I approve that message!"
Good. Keep your eyes open!
I saw it and I think what everyone is upset about is that Paul showed fear, the old “we can’t shut down the gov’t” BS.
That fear is what killed the Republican party.
Hannity all but called Cornyn and Rand a coward, gingerly referencing those who are not willing to have the show down over Obamacare and have it now.
Hannity is still on my S list for allowing his Dem guests to blantently lie.
Over the past year Hannity has become much more hardline. He had Dana Perino about crying last night, referring to her type as squishes and wimps.

I agree. I watched the program and was just astounded at Dana’s comments. She showed a side of her beliefs that I’d never seen before. For me, she caused a loss of the former respect I’d had for her when I thought she stood for the Constitution and the people of America. ...I still like the lady and agree with most of her views that are expressed in public.
Bingo!
You could see his disgust and disappointment.
