The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows that 46% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Obama's job performance. Fifty-one percent (51%) disapprove (see trends).
Eighty percent (80%) of Democrats approve of the job the president is doing, while 89% of Republicans disapprove. Among voters not affiliated with either major party, 45% approve and 52% disapprove.
The latest figures include 23% of all voters who Strongly Approve of the way Obama is performing as president and 41% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of -18.
Don’t hold your breath - it will never happen.
This is as low as he’ll likely go, considering the totally deluded, reason-eclipsed drones that would approve of him even if he axe murdered his family.
We have crossed the Rubicon in society, where corruption, gross immorality and outright fraud are no longer bars to holding office. In fact, they are resume enhancers.
HIs Strongly approve is less than 25. Was 22 last week. What surprises me is the Strongly disapprove is still so low at only 41. It should be much higher. A shift of a few points from either column and he’s in the 20s where he’ll stay until he goes on Oprah or Letterman etc.
I believe his strong approval has been lower than this in the past. The narrow range of 20-25 is the floor, I believe.
Benghazi be damned, IRS be damned, Fast and Furious be damned, Syria be damned, obamacare be damned. None of that is his fault and anyone who says otherwise is a hate filled racist! /sarc
First of all Rasmussen was great under Carl but his son Scotty screwed it up... then he sold it and now it has no track record to go by. His numbers for support of obama have been running high for a year or more.
LLS
Rasmussen lost all its remaining credibility when it ousted Rasmussen...
No... we aren't.
Obama reaches his immovable base of hard-core liberal/low-info support in the low 40s. It won't trend lower than that.
I think Limbaugh hit it on the head when he said Obama still somehow manages to succeed in presenting himself as the intrepid outsider who's "angry" at the mess caused by incompetence in D.C. and is trying oh-so-mightily to clean it up "for the people." Never mind the fact he's been in office for nearly five years and much of the mess is HIS.
Only if the opposition as we now see is a RINO who is put in there with the understanding that it's better to lose than to cede power to conservatives and those who support the US Constitution.
We've seen enough of the RINOs working so hard to save Obamacare and keep the invasion of the US going to confirm that Romney and McCain lost because they aren't really on our side.
It would be fun to see how Obama would do in a matchup against Cruz.
These are the sort of numbers Obama had before the last election and he still won. I used to think the solid, uncritical liberal voting base was around 30%, but now I think it’s closer to 40%. I think the absolute floor of Obama’s support is around 40%. He could do anything or fail to do anything and his support will not go much lower than 40%. Lots of stupid, brain-washed people out there.
Don’t bet on the gullibility of the American People.
