Critic's Notebook: With an ending firmly foretold, the powerful 'Breaking Bad' ushers in a novel twist to TV as more series tinker with form, function.
Going into Sunday's Emmy telecast, all eyes are on "Breaking Bad." It's picked up a slew of acting awards during its five-season run and is this year's odds-on favorite for drama series; as the show moves toward its Sept. 29 finale, its ratings have almost tripled since last year.

It has set a new bar for television dramas. Of the few tv shows I watch, there are none that compare to this one.

It has set a new bar for television dramas. Of the few tv shows I watch, there are none that compare to this one. I dunno, my little sister had me watch a Korean drama (City Hunter) and it's really well done... and she says most Korean dramas blow the American stuff out of the water.

I’m looking forward to it. I love the Masterpiece show Foyle’s War, which is on PBS at the same time so I have to record it. My family thinks I’m crazy.

I am betting Skyler and Marie both end up in witness protection
Walt was able to think fast- knowing the police were going to be there soon... he snatched up the daughter and got outta dodge fast
Then he had to plan to phone call to Skyler. Who is one of the hottest babes on TV along with her sister (not into the flashy types- these are REAL women!)
So now walt is on the run. he is in a new place, with a new identity... so what brings him back to NM? with plans and guns?
Jesse is prosoner, cooking with Todd. Lydia has to get involved and hope the quality goes up.
We have a lot to wrap up with only 2 shows left.... Hopefully the last show is a 3 hour special
