Very nice. And if you know history, you do not need to be told the year. It is self evident. At any rate, looking at the state of the planet today, one has to think we all would have been better off, if the Mongols had indeed conquered the entire world. At least there would be no traffic jams.

I was totally surprised at how big Poland used to be.
And Lithuania was a major "playa" too.

Fascinating (after getting through the commercials). Imagine all the beer, bread and cheese that has been consumed in Europe over the past 1000 years. I would love to have lived through it all as a spectator.
Germany did not come upon the scene until recently and it had two short time periods of enormous growth. Well, Germany is ascendant once again and time will tell if history repeats a third time.

Mongols almost had the muzzles wiped out. While the Crusaders were pressing from the West, Mongols laid waste to vast areas of Islam. Most historians say the muzzles didn’t recover until 29th century.

Very cool. I forwarded to my family.
Poland sure has had a hard time staying independent in modern times.
