Juablo out of NASCAR, back to Indy car in ‘14
So I am curious, do you guys see the articles I post in the thread ping. Or do you just repost them to pick on me? The MWR is new, but the others I posted last night.
Sorry ‘bout that, Friend.
Completely missed them.
I have my picks in with hopes of knocking ol whats his name off the top for the chase part of the season. I can picture him gloating and dancing around until even Mrs Bender can’t stand him. Don’t want to mention who I am writing about, but some can probably guess!
Lol! I thought you guys might be picking on me; several recent threads. Wasn’t just you... :-P
That is quite the stretch goal.
I got delayed today because I had to travel to Colorado Springs for work and the flood washed out and destroyed the highway for about 10 miles through the canyon I drive through normally. There was one road repair to the west of my home that cut 30 minutes off the detour. Now the detour is only 1 hour so my commute is now only 3 hours each way.
Wow. I was wondering how you made out in the flooding. Glad to hear it hit around you, but not on you.
I researched before I bought this house. Found that there had been two disasterous floods in Coal Creek Canyon in the last 100 years that washed houses away. Looked only for houses on top of a ridge. Hard to get water to collect on top of a ridge at 8,500 ft elevation!
A river runs thru my town, but I purposely built on the outskirts and way uphill.
Above this is the canyon with rock all around. This is out on the plains about 1/4 mile out on the front range plains from the mouth of the canyon where the railroad bridge crosses over Hwy 72. The highway is destroyed for 10 miles to the west of where this photo was taken, but the rock did not allow so much earth to be removed in the canyon.
Sounds like a smart decision! The water here flows into the S Platte River. It is flooding from here all the way to Nebraska.
Benderville has not had any trace of rain since mid May but that may change by noon as radar shows significant moisture offshore
Had a very large bear get into the trash can last night. I would estimate 350-400 lbs. I banged on a window and it jumped over the deck railing and ran off. It got down to 32F last night and so much frost on the deck I thought it had snowed.
I’ll have you know I’ve updated the Commissioners note and have included you in it.
Loudon has a 70% chance of rain tomorrow. It might be another looooonnng race day.
Read a USA article yesterday that MWR is teetering on the edge of bankruptcy. The article stated MW lived in an apartment above a pizza shop???
This morning there’s a story that MWR is willing to let Martin Truax leave to go to another team although they’d like him to wait around to see if a new sponsor can be found. Talk about collateral damage....
I hope he gets booted off his TV gig....
Grumpy today, I see. You’ll get over it, in time.
