Wow. I was wondering how you made out in the flooding. Glad to hear it hit around you, but not on you.

I researched before I bought this house. Found that there had been two disasterous floods in Coal Creek Canyon in the last 100 years that washed houses away. Looked only for houses on top of a ridge. Hard to get water to collect on top of a ridge at 8,500 ft elevation!

Here is how badly the creek cut through the roads at the bottom of Coal Creek Canyon. It will take a long time to fix. I think it could take a year or more.  photo UteDriveCoalCreekCayon_zps240cb758.jpg
