The voices in my head said not to worry about it. They also said the aliens are our friends.

I get along OK with the voices in my head.

I'm not buying it.

“I think it immediately arouses fears and enhances stigma about people with mental illness, that they’re psychotic killers and wackos running amok,” Lieberman said. “It’s unfortunate.”

No, no - clearly it wasn’t this guy’s mental state that caused this, it was the GUNS! Please place the stigma where the stigma belongs!

me about buying new diamonds and a Vineyard house with our
Syria war profits. Was she ever mad when Putin weighed-in."

So, if I can't get a particular tune out of my head, am I having hallucinations?

Someone posted the lyrics to a song by the Atlantic Rhythm Section yesterday, and I "heard" it for the rest of the day.

This is one of the problems with restricting the civil rights of people with "mental illness": there's no agreement on what constitutes "dangerous".

And, everyone is entitled to due process. That decision can't be made by someone, with no opportunity for a fair and speedy appeal.

[There are similar problems with protection orders, which are routinely abused in divorce proceedings]

This is just to defend the fact that both the VA hospital psychs and the people responsible for giving him a security clearance dropped the ball.

Around thirty years ago, it was determined by our “leaders” that it was not humane to confine anyone in a mental institution against their will.
Tucson, Aurora, Sandy Hook even going back to Columbine and others all have one thing in common. Mental illness.
Add in Ft. Hood and you find Political Correctness and affirmative Action.

These are just more examples of Liberal policies and their unintended consequences. Just their Chickens are coming home to roost.

the assumption in all these mental health cases is that the people have already seen someone, and are in the mental health system somewhere. what if this s the first time for someone? someone undiagnosed?

Libs love to quote studies that purport to show that the mentally ill are no more prone to violence than the average population.

What they are not honest enough to quote are the exclusionary criteria for those studies, which usually exclude some combination of patients who, 1. do not take their meds, 2. use drugs, and 3. have no prior history of violence.

Add those patients back in - and they are an enormous percentage - and the mentally ill present a quite violent population.

The rates of job-related death and injury for mental health workers far outstrips that of both the military and law enforcement.

When I was struggling to come to terms with the death of my wife, I went to her church to light a candle for her. As I stood before the Lord on the Cross, I don’t know why but I said out loud, “I don’t know what to do....” I heard a voice in my head say, “You know what to do!” I began taking classes, and the following Easter I received my First Communion at 60 years of age. Finally, I am beginning to find peace. Vivat Jesus

Like a scream but sort of silent
Living out my nightmares
Voices repeating me
“Feeling threatened?
We reflect your hopes and fears”
Voices discussing me
“Others steal your thoughts
They’re not confined within your mind...”

I keep hearing Bammy's voice in my head.

No wait, that comes from audio clips from talk radio.

When the water’s on in my kitchen sink and I’m in the next room, it sounds just like people talking. It’s really creepy. I can never make out what they’re saying, so I guess I’m ok.

The voices in my head always speak out after seeing someone do something extremely stupid. They say “and then they voted” to remind me of why America is where it’s at today. The illiterate are allowed to vote.

So, I guess under ObamaCare, if you tell your doctor that you have guns in your house, that’s bad - but if you tell him that you hear voices in your head, then it’s OK?
