They might not be able to restore the vehicle ....
Maybe they better drain that whole lake. Jimmy Hoffa might be in there (and Zero’s birth certificate).
Doesn’t look like a 57 Chev in the background. More like a 51 Chev. Just MHO.
That looks like a ‘53 Chevy.
Either that lake attracts cars like a magnet or there was a serial killer dumping his victims there.
“Doesnt look like a 57 Chev in the background. More like a 51 Chev. Just MHO.”
The plate probably was from ‘57. I agree. It does not appear to be a ‘57.
“Custer County authorities were practicing with a new sonar device...”
It seems to work quite well.
OK. ‘52 was last year of split windshield. ‘53 had the one piece one.
Another reason to get your car Ziebarted
Awww, it’ll buff right out.
It seems like either a ‘51 or a ‘52.
It has split windshield,so it is not a ‘53, which had a one piece windshield.
I am very curious about the damage on the Camaro.
The front is not damaged, but the rear is horribly mangled. Impact with the water did not do that.
At the news source link, there are pictures of this same
Camaro in 1970.
That’s a picture of the trunk of the older car, isn’t it?
What’s the other car?
“Whats the other car?”
Camaro.
There are better pictures at the link. One shows a broadside of the older car.
Where was Ted Kennedy around that time? Sounds kind of like his M.O.
16 year old driving a car with a lot of power?
I can see the car ending up going backwards during the crash sequence, if that’s what happened.
WTF???
Wouldn’t go back to those days (’50’s-70’s) for the world, but it is always a fascinating read. :)
