The Simon Wiesenthal Center is seeking action from the United Nations over the new president of the International Olympic Committees (IOC) membership in an organization that encourages boycotts of Israel.
In a letter to the Special Advisor to the UN Secretary-General on Sport for Development and Peace (UNOSDP), Wilfried Lemke, the centers Director for International Relations, Dr. Shimon Samuels, called for newly elected IOC head, Thomas Bach, to be pressed to resign his Chairmanship of the German agency for boycott of Israel.

What’s the big deal, it’s not like he’s anti muslim. Do I have to tag it?
For the record, one of those “boycott Israel” organizations is also going after performers. They were trying to get of all people, Tom Jones to NOT perform in Israel and I don’t think Tom Jones was giving in. Maybe they have persuaded other performers not to.
So, what this article is about is not new but takes a little to grasp about what it is actually saying. It’s a bit complex.
Sounds to me like some countries, Great Britain (as they are in the Olympics, not UK or England), the USA and other countries should demand this director step down.
I hate German Nazis.
when did the Olympics become political? I mean Jessy Owens was at the 1936 Olympics all parties tried to keep politics out of the Olympics
Stars like Elvis Costello and Dustin Hoffman have given in to the boycott, while others like Madonna and Paul McCartney didn’t. I wouldn’t describe him is a star, but Stephen Hawking refuses to wheel into Israel.
I thought Hawking denied he would abide by this boycott ?
I think it was ultimately confirmed.
What a shame. You’d think he’d show a little more courage.
Like the NFL, I stopped watching the Olympics long long ago. Ruined by leftist.
The antiSemites at the Olympics WORKED WITH Abbas
to murder Israeli atheletes.
Anyone charged yet?
Ping!
Then US Olympic Chairman and future IOC Chairman, Avery Brundige pressured US Jewish athletes to not go to Germany. He was another anti-semitic piece of work.
interesting thank you dfwgator
