I didn’t watch it at all. I was reading the latest Lee Child book instead.
They were scraping the barrel for brain dead viewers and came up empty.
It’s struggling because Ryan Seacrest is despised by Americans. Broncos fans made us all proud by lustily booing him before the NFL premiere last week.
The title is horrible IMHO. I’m sure it’s turning viewers away.
I watched it.
Convoluted, contorted and contrived.
Sorry, I was busy watching “How To Keep An Idiot In Suspense”
I’m just posting to kill time during the commercials
Haven’t really liked any game show since “It Pays To Be Ignorant” went off the air.
Course, one of my favorite all-time shows was the “$1.98 Beauty Pageant” so my tastes are relatively simple....
It’s entertaining for the most part. The questions are generally fairly easy (it’s shocking how many people miss so many questions), and the rules are pretty simple, too. I don’t get what’s so confusing about it.
“Alex, I’ll take SACKS OF WORTHLESS S**T for $1000.”
“The answer is.....’This worthless sack of s**t left Americans to die in Benghazi’”.
BeepBeepBeep
“Ken!”
“Barack Obama!”
“Oh, Ken, remember that all answers must be in the form of a question.”
“Why is Barack Obama still our President?”
“Judges? It appears that no one knows the answer to that question, Ken.”
I liked Match Game and TattleTales, but I was an odd 10 year old.
I'm a sucker for any game show so I watched it and you are right about the questions. I counted 41 in an hour. Compare that to Jeopardy which can go up to 61 in a half hour. Then add in way too many breaks, to much silly chatting and celebrities asking questions shilling for their NBC shows. If I wanted interruptions, silly chatting and NBC shilling I would watch the winter olympics. :-)
The concept isn't that hard. The $10/second prize amounts to about $12,000 per round the player survives. The only tricky part is that only the top four winners in the king of the hill format actually will win and once per show (and apparently only during the show despite the fact that they are playing it 24 hours per day) one of those top four has to compete against the current player and risk losing all their money.
I'll watch the last few shows, but this isn't any Jeopardy.
