Have you ever seen any of my threads? I get complaints all the time for doing the opposite of what you’re saying.

The vast majority of stories posted here that support conservative positions or trash liberals/progressives are from publications that only conservative minded people read. Not true. A huge number of articles are posted from MSM sites.

It makes FR kind of an echo chamber Better the truth is echoed than falsehood.

Every time I turn on the TV, radio, go to an airport gate (CNN) captive audience kiosks, speak to a school teacher, open one of my kids school books I’m exposed to Marxist Propaganda. I love the FR echo chamber, its the only place I can go to avoid reading the liberal clap trap of the day.
We just started home schooling my oldest so at least his school books are ‘normal’

I love the fact that whatever the debate that eventually ensues, a degree of conservatism can be assumed by one’s antagonist. That saves SO much time.

I have a solution for you.
Open “Democratic Underground” in one window, and “Free Republic” in another!
Voila, your “perfect” balance. (/s)

It makes FR kind of an echo chamber, in that, no or very few minds will be changed unless the articles posted here start showing up in the popular media of big city newspapers and network television. But the point of FR is to be a sort of "echo chamber". We come here to find companionship in like-minded people and, more than a little, to argue the finer points of conservatism as we each see it.
We won't change minds by posting more mainstream articles. But, by posting what we think are the best of the conservative articles, we may just provide the inspiration [and the intellectual ammo] to let a FReeper somewhere influence someone else.

It is frustrating sometimes when you see something that hits an issue so well only to find out it’s from Townhall and wont be seen by many people.
But that’s what we are for. We have to be the news for friends and family. Pass that blog post along! You will help make it reach more people than MSNBC has.
