From the fear of clowns to the fear of yellow thousands of phobia sufferers are tormented by the most unusual things.
1) Xanthophobia fear of the colour yellow
Sufferers of xanthophobia may fear anything yellow, including the sun, daffodils and yellow paint. In its most aggressive form xanthophobic symptoms may include an overwhelming fear of even the phrase yellow.
2) Turophobia- fear of cheese
Sufferers of Turophobia usually associate cheese with a traumatic memory. From cheddar to mozzarella turophobes often have to run away if they so much as see a slice of cheese. Some may fear one type of cheese while others may fear cheese altogether.
3) Somniphobia- fear of falling asleep
Somniphobia comprises often irrational and excessive fear of sleep. Somniphobes may fear falling asleep because they associate going to bed with dying. It may also result from a feeling of lack of control or from suffering repeated nightmares. Somniphobics may also fear losing time while sleeping.
4) Coulrophobia fear of clowns
Coulrophobia is a relatively common phobia, and usually present in children according to various surveys. The 'scary clown' has often been used in popular culture, for example in the form of the Joker in Batman comics and film adaptations. Coulrophobia has some celebrity sufferers- namely Daniel Radcliffe and Johnny Depp. Depp said of his clown fear: "its impossible, thanks to their painted-on smiles, to distinguish if they are happy or if they are about to bite your face off."

I have the ‘dropping keys’ phobia too.
Many do ;)
klimallayiphobia fear of climate change
I was once stuck on Miss. River bridge in thunderstorm and it was swaying. Very scary. For years after I had fear of bridges but eventually overcame it. Another irrational fear I have is left exits off the freeway. No idea where it came from...lol.
Exposure to what one fears is best medicine...at least in my experience.
I have Phobophobia, which is an irrational fear of phobias.
Is there a name for fear of being in a bathroom completely in the dark with the water running?
Paralyzing fear. Must be a latent childhood memory.
Don't worry. Fear of doing anything involving moving towards the left is common among Freepers and is a healthy survival instinct
I have a fear of falling asleep while clowns are eating American cheese. Does that count as one phobia or four?
Clown mastication, and American cheese at that? Horrible, squishy, like locusts destroying a harvest in the distance. The stuff of nightmares. Your fears are entirely rational, not a phobia at all.
Haha..yes..that is what I tell myself.
I think I have Xanthoturoculrosomniphobia, but I’m not sure if that refers to the fear of falling asleep while clowns are eating American cheese, or the fear of clowns falling asleep while eating American cheese, or American cheese falling asleep while it’s eating clowns.
