Has he ever played tight end at any level?

Yeah, I’m in NJ and spent a lot of time years back attending Rutgers Games with a friend. Tebow reminds me a lot of Bryan Leonard, that H-Back light TE sort of player.

If not that, then maybe a FB - but not too many teams even use those exclusively anymore. Witness the game last night with something like 800+ yards of passing combined. It’s a passing league for sure.

I don’t think so. A major part of being a TE is reading the defense, knowing if they’re blitzing and reacting properly. Tebow can’t read defenses. He could maybe be a slot receiver (almost a TE only without the possible blocking), but that’s about it.

I guess what you mean by that is that he kind of looks like a tight end. Can he catch? Can he run patterns effectively? Can he block downfield? Can he protect the QB? Can he effectively run block? In other words, do we have any evidence that he can do any of the things a tight end is on the field to do?

I don’t know that anyone has the answers to those questions.
