Our lesbian love scenes were hell, say actresses after they were 'forced to perform humiliating acts of sex and violence by demanding director'
Two young actresses who star in one of the most successful films released this year have claimed they were forced to engage in humiliating acts of sex and violence by its director.
Adele Exarchopoulos and Lea Seydoux both say they will never work with Abdellatif Kechiche again following their experience filming Blue is the Warmest Colour.

Good grief.
Lesbians - It ain’t like in the movies.
forced?.....They could have walked out
And leave show business?!
I wouldn’t have done it.
i guess now directors will be forced to hire actresses who are really lesbians.
the new problem will be getting people to come and watch the movies.
course we could go back to having script writers actually make a storyline that doesn’t require nudity or smut at all.
Well, call me cynical, but I think I see the problem here.
Did they not read the script?
Yayyyyy, after looking these fine fillies I’m probably going to have to see this film one, two or three times before passing judgement.
A young woman who had been in several community theater shows with our son went on to pursue acting as a career. Next I heard she was offered a spot in the traveling show of Les Miserables, a wonderful gig but she turned it down because she wouldn’t do the prostitute scene because she’s a devote Christian. Huge choice for her. I met a young woman tonight (9th grader) who insisted that her mother take her to RCIC (rites of Christian Initiation for Children). My granddaughter is also starting (7th grade) because she wants to be a Catholic. There’s some hope for the next generation.
To make an art film, you have to break a few girls. Roman Polanski would agree... /s
These two were the belles of the ball at Cannes this year, so their complaints are coming in a little late.
...nor will they have to.
Given the state of Hollywood these days, I can’t help but be a little skeptical and wonder if these “complaints” aren’t just a gimmick to get more people to see a movie that, until now, I hadn’t even heard of.
Indeed. No doubt a lot of scenes needing to be re-shot, overexposed film, improper lighting, mis-spoken lines. I can imagine this older, umm, director, needing to get the scenes just right.
They could have hired me to be a body double for either of them.
Yes it would be a dirty job, but someone has to do it.
lol careful ...you might hurt yourself.
Cwl tag line.
Publicity stunt.
