He’ll still sit court side at Los Angeles Lakers’ games, but Hollywood legend Jack Nicholson has quietly retired from the movie business, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.
The 76-year-old icon has no plans to appear in films again after a career spanning five decades.
“Jack has — without fanfare — retired,” a well-placed Hollywood film insider confirmed to Radar.

The Departed was supposedly the story of Whitey Bulger, wasn’t it?

Yes.
Sort of but not really. Nicholson’s character is based on Bulger, the movie as a whole is a remake of a Hong Kong movie.
My misogynistic favorite line (quoting the scene from “As Good As It Gets”):
Receptionist: I can’t resist! You usually move through here so quickly and I just have so many questions I want to ask you. You have no idea what your work means to me.
Melvin Udall: What does it mean to you?
Receptionist: [stands up] When somebody out there knows what it’s like...
[place one hand on her forehead and the other over her heart]
