What I found interesting about the restaurant scene with Todd, his Uncle Jack and the other member of their group was when Uncle Jack compared Todd jumping off the train to the movie Hooper with Burt Reynolds. The other guy said that it wasn't the same because it was a helicopter and Uncle Jack dismisses him. There is some obvious animosity between them. Todd has on several occasions had to tell Uncle Jack to be quiet when he made derisive comments to Walt or Lydia. On the way out to their truck Todd and the other guy are laughing and rough-housing with each other.

I think Uncle Jack's days are numbered.

The first few minutes of the next episode should tell us Uncle Jack's fate.

I kind of like him - he looks like an evil, mirror-universe version of Christopher Lloyd (circa 1980s).

Vince Gilligan was either going for extreme, real-life police realism in that ending shootout, or it was a hat tip to The A-Team. A whole lot of lead flying, but no evidence of so much as a hair being clipped.

The guy that plays Tuco is an awesome actor. He was in some other comedy show where he plays a goofy Mexican and he is hilarious.

I could not believe it was even the same guy playing this vicious criminal.

He didn’t ‘let’ Todd kill the kid... But I was surprised that he didn’t do anything more then reprimand him.

To me, Todd was always the weakest character in this show. Walt has demonstrated more brains then to keep a loose cannon around like that.

Are Uncle Jack and his crew Aryan Nation ex-con guys? I have never heard the word Aryan used on BB but over at Slate the commentators are calling Jack+crew Aryan (nation)

They certainly could be- they would fit the part, but I’ve never seen that come up- I doubt they would introduce that complexity at this point (only 3 episodes left0

I think they are making a play to take over the business and it wont be good for Lydia

I have not see this weeks yet (but I dont mind spoilers!)

I fist saw season one BB on DVD about 2 years ago. Raymond Cruz is his name and he was Ding Chavez in the movie Clear and Present Danger (Harrison Ford) which was a great movie back in its day (1993)  But kinda sucks now with the way things have changed with Obama in the White House meaning....

That special ops type CIA action movies are more credible under a Republican president. With Obama we know how he has gelded them and they lost their lives via helicopter crashed shot down by Taliban (Seal Team 6) due to Joe Biden and other Obama admin pukes bragging (trying to steal Seal Team 6 golory) and talking too much about the killing of Osama Bin Ladin

Which could be complicated by Todd's crush on Lydia. Maybe they both die.

Lydia won’t be killed (not on purpose) because she sells the blue meth in Europe (Czechoslovakia) where she has high demand for it. Euros are more demanding and want that high purity blue.

She is so serious about selling it she had the other meth makers killed two weeks ago.
She is needed by the Uncle Jack guys to market this blue meth poison. Far better to sell it in Europe than locally where there is more chance of being caught

So, who survives the shootout?

Somebody must, so that Walt ends up on the run and known to be Hiesenburg. I am guessing Jessie does not make it.

I am guessing Hank must not survive if Walt is still out of jail- never having been arrested is the only explanation- unless he has enough money to keep himself out on bail...

But something bad happens that the neighbor lady is scared to death at the sight of Walt

When he said "I love you" on the phone to Marie, I figured he was a dead man.

I keep going back to what we know about ‘the end’

Walt is alone on his next birtday (arranging his own bacon) so Skyler and his kids are gone

He is not in jail, although we know Hank (and now his partner) know

He has hair, so he has stopped the Chemo- but is coughing up blood, so we know he still has the cancver and its probably terminal

His neighbor is scared to death at the sight of him.

His house is fenced off (foreclosed?) Do they fence off forcelosed houses down there?

Someone painted ‘heisenburg’ in his house- my money is on his son

He is buying guns for a big shootout

He retrieves his ricin- I am betting that is for himself

I think Hank’s partner is giving Hank a bit of the evil eye lately- what if he comes across the CD of Walt accusing Hank- and believes it? And shoots Hank himself?
