Kansas was voted "worst scenery." Arizona was in the five worst along with New Jersey, Ohio, Indiana, and Nebraska. There are people out there who think Arizona is all sand. I don't think they really know where the Grand Canyon is.
It's not all that uncommon, though. When I was a kid I wondered just how much you could put into a picture magazine called Arizona Highways beyond sand and asphalt. I've learned since then.
