Eupepsia
I’ve heard about the eupepsia generation somewhere.
Amidst trumpets blaring and the euphoria of the local pols (and to the detriment of my eupepsia), His Barryness Obama will be arriving tomorrow morning in my backyard to talk about ‘ed-u-ca-tion’ to start his latest “Bus Tour”...
Lots of places. Many live in very insulated areas in cities. There are not many black folk in suburbia.
Let’s hope his driver uses a Garmin and not the White House map readers.
It is sad that the author of that piece feels guilty of the segregation his parents, apparently, sought out and maintained since he claims white neighborhoods have NO black home owners. He blames all whites for his own distinctive situation and wants to include us all when he claims we have no black friends, or neighbors, obviously. And of course being in the South there is NO way I have any black neighbors, or Middle Eastern, or Nigerian, or Asian....so maybe I should ask why they are living in those homes?
Nothing worse than a Flyers fan. Except maybe Ravens fans. ;-)

Next week I’ll use “cochlear” and wait for those jokes.
The only place I have ever lived where there wasn’t a mixture of black and white in my neighborhood was a very small town in Texas. It wasn’t a situation where blacks were pushed away- there were many folks involved in volunteer groups and city government and in business, but for the most part lived in a certain area of the city. But other than that one location, I’ve always seen families of all types living in the suburbs.

Where do you live?
You live in a bustling region. There is new development and lots of people moving in and out.
Back home for me, not so much. People stay rooted and live in the same homes for a long time. So the effects of the one-time de facto segregation still are apparent.
My county is about 2% black.
I was pointing out that the author of this piece was apparently raised in an all white neighborhood and thought blacks were bad people (I believe that is what he said) - so his big realization that they are humans (some good, some bad like all humans) caused him to declare that all whites live like that - or are raised like him. Typical liberal behavior to impose his own faults or misconceptions on everyone else to deflect his own sense of guilt.
Maybe not in Nashville, bc it may not have an educated black middle class. DC suburbs are full of black professionals, my brothers Houston has them.
Yes, typical. Just like all liberals are for gun control because they know they would shoot someone if they had a gun.
In fact we can tell that some lower priced housing has been built nearby because we’ve started seeing some more “ethnic” dress in our local grocery store.....the black teens in my neighborhood don’t typically wear the ghetto sag crap but when I see it, the entire family looks like they got lost on the highway....unfortunately they didn’t -
I live less than 1/4 mile south of the Airport, close enough to smell him
During his last trip three years ago, the wing place he visited was only a couple blocks away from my home; the traffic tie-ups were incredible then.
Not too many in The Woodlands, north of Houston where my dad lived.
That sounds like a good day to work from home, if you can.
I work full-time from home now, which is definitely a plus under these circumstances
