I see no reason why they should share details about the type or manner of torture with the public out of deference to other family members and friends.
(I did note 2 pieces of cut extension cord and a cut up extension cord on the garage warrant)
Okay then where was Hannah while all this torture was going on??? on a cell phone call to her valley girl friends???
Hannah said that when she left them they were tied up in the garage — nothing about torture.
Did Hanna say that she saw them tied up in the garage or was that what she was told or assumed.
It’s like that airline pilot - Sum Ting Wong.
She creeped me out too!
She was excited to hear that Hannah McCay was in the car.
Yikes!
Great show
You’ll have to ask Hannah that question as well as how she could think that those two tied up people in the garage could possibly be alive 6 days after a fire that he had set had burned the place down.
The key to this case is the girl’s best girlfriend.
How would Hannah known about the fire seeing as it was delayed? We don’t know if Hannah relayed what she saw or what she was told.
She could have assumed or hoped they would get loose or be found. She doesn’t exactly give off a Mensa vibe.
I’m just very sure that if she was a Lolita as you seem to be implying, that there would be text and tweets going back months. Her friends would know because she would brag about whatever baubles she manipulated out of him.
bfl
But she did know about it one way or the other and made no effort to tell anyone about her mother's predicament.
We dont know if Hannah relayed what she saw or what she was told.
Well obviously she did not relay what she saw because they were both dead before they left.
If there was torture then there would have been screams of pain -- what would she have been doing during all those screams -- her nails???
I think in this case as in all others you need to look for motive.
It seems to me that the dead perp had the LEAST motive. Way ahead of him would be the dead woman’s husband and the Girl.
Husband kill wives and daughters kill mothers. If the perp could leave with Hanna and disappear, what would be his motive for killing the mother and the kid? I see none, or at least a very flimsy one.
And why the “torture”? There would have to be a motive for that too. It doesn’t make sense that the “perp” did it. Now he may have covered for the girl after the fact I guess.
My first guess would be the father, second would be Hanna that did the killing.
And BTW, there was more age difference between Clinton and liwinski than there was between the perp and Hanna...
Yep — I agree
The police are ignoring all the rules of criminal investigations in order to close this case prematurely because they don’t like where the evidence is pointing them.
And the autopsy report of the mother said nothing about torture — only death by blunt force trauma. The police threw the words “torture” and “kidnapping” into the search warrant affidavits to make sure they were issued.
After Hannah was found she was taken to a medical center where they no doubt administered a rape kit to determine sexual molestation during their hiatus. If it had tested positive then the authorities would have determined the nature of their relationship.
However it appears not to have tested positive since days after she was released from the medical center and came home the police were saying that they had yet to determine the nature of their relationship and they alluded to a paternity test that takes weeks.
I think that’s what we’re looking at — father and daughter relationship that freaked Hannah out when it was revealed to her. She was imagining their relationship to be older man infatuated with her until her mother set her straight that they were father and daughter and offered a DNA Swab Kit to prove it to her causing her to fly off the handle.
I think your right about the paternity...
And that doesn’t give the perp motive to kill the family. The motive and the killer(s) are to be found elsewhere.
I’m beginning to wonder if that girl was in on this.
They had two dead bodies and a missing girl. That would get them ALL the search warrants they need. They had no need to embellish to get warrants.
Early they believed that they had been burned to death — that was their torture.
But after the warrants were issued the police determined that they were dead before they were burned — so much for the torture by burning.
The body of the boy was/is so burned up and unrecognizable that any claim of torture other than burning for him was/is beyond the realm of determination.
The body of the mother was the only one where torture other than burning would be determinable but today’s autopsy took the air out of that balloon with the cause of death being blunt force trauma. No mention of any other cause.
The dog is shot in the head — the way a man would do it.
But the mother was apparently whacked in the head with a crowbar — the modus operandi of angry teenage girls.
If you want to claim that Hannah just sat there doing her nails while her mother and brother were screaming from being tortured in a way that the police can’t determine, then have at it. That put’s her in even worse light than she is already in.
How do you even know she was present. What were the 13 phone calls between her and Dimaggio in the hours prior to leaving.
Why did they need to call each other if they were in the same place? I think it’s possible she wasn’t there at the time of the killings and he just told her they were tied up in the garage and promised her they’d get found and released soon. Where are the handcuffs from the handcuff box? Maybe he held her somewhere else while he murdered her family.
The mother’s body was barely burned because the fire started after the firefighters were there and they put it out quickly. I still wonder about the cut up extension cord and the condoms.
If there was a sexual relationship between the girl and the man, that would already be known by now (rape kit exam). This is why the cops are still puzzling out the relationship and doing a paternity test.
You are trying to make a great deal out of the coroner’s release not saying anything but they haven’t released a full report, only the immediate cause of death. The absence of evidence is not evidence of absence (at this point).
