bet he’s out in a week.........
Is that all?
If he were a conservative, he would have gotten 12 years.
Ask Kent Hovind.
Hang on Jesse, Kwame’s on his way. Have fun you guys...Sheeee-it.
How many months off for good behavior?
He’ll be out in three, six tops. Does he get to keep the booty?
How sad.
His father taught him he was inviolate, and the political thuggery of the Chicago machine combined with his own sense of entitlement because of his race led him to be reckless and indifferent to the laws.
How many Jesse Jackson Jr.’s have to go down before we have a majority of Alan West’s?
Possibly never.
How many years did Scooter Libby get for getting a date wrong in his FBI testimony during the really phony Valerie Plame fiasco? Now that was a gross miscarriage of justice.
You know what they say “IT’S NOT WHO YOU KNOW IT’S WHO YOU $$$$”!!!!
If our criminal justice system does don’t sufficiently punish criminals for their crimes, instead of a deterrent it actually encourages crime when risk vs. reward is considered.
It isn’t the crime that gets you off it’s the color of your skin and the friends you keep.
Note friends of Obama%CO.
Bah!
He’ll be out in 9 based on “good behavior”.
Geee,
I sure hope some serious bad ass doesn’t make jesse his boyfriend.
couldn’t happen to a nicer dirtbag
WASHINGTON Former Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. was sentenced today to 30 months in prison plus three years of supervised release for misspending about $750,000 in campaign funds.
His wife, Sandi, a former Chicago alderman, is expected to be sentenced within minutes on a related charge.
Both Jacksons wept in court as they addressed the judge before sentencing.
Jackson Jr. apologized for his crimes and expressed special regrets to his mother and father.
Your honor, throughout this process Ive asked the government and the court to hold me and only me accountable for my actions, he said.
When Jackson Jr. spoke, he voice was firm except for the few times he wept openly and paused to dry his eyes with tissue, blow his nose and collect himself.
I am the example for the whole Congress, he said. I understand that. I didnt separate my personal life from my political activities, and I couldnt have been more wrong.
I imagine Daddy is ticked but it’s doubtful Jr. will serve all of it, Obummer will probably find a reason to pardon him.
One of the best investments this country could make for it’s future would be to turn ALL prison time into HARD time including hard labor. No cushy country club prisons like Jackson will be sent to. We should make sure that when a criminal is released from prison he NEVER EVER wants to go through that kind of punishment again.
