The president said that Republicans have one unifying principle - denying 30 million Americans the right to health care.
Ummm... The CBO said that there would be 30 million without insurance even with ObamaCare fully implemented.
Obama. Mixed up.
Fail.
Even Mark Pryor (D) appears to be abandoning ship on this. Didn’t he recently agree (along with Howard Dean) with Sarah Palin on the Death Panels in ObamaCare?
Just in time for Pryor’s re-election bid? Typical...
What say you?
Link to an article or a statement?
Yup....people will find it’s cheaper to pay the fine than it is to pay for the obamacare premiums.
Perhaps Obama’s mix-up occured as he was trying to still learn the Austrian language, was visiting hospitals (as he tours the 57 states) that give breathalyzer treatments to kids, shaking hands with Navy corpse-men, and as he visits Hawaii in Asia?
Me thinks OBAMACARE was set up to fail, SO the do gooders could ride to the rescue with SINGLE PAYER.
Welcome to the First Galactic Empire.
Google: CBO 30 million health care
WeeklyStandard: “CBO: Uninsured Under Obamacare never falls below 30 million”
Just one of many that have reported on this.
The government needs to fine . . . er, tax those people IMMEDIATELY!
They set us up with Fannie & Freddie and the CRDA under Carter and put on Steroid with Clinton...
All it took was one Mutual Fund Money Market to go below $1.00 par value with a 500 million withdrawal that Sept 08' day to get it to tumble...
Paging George Soro's will Mr Soro's please pick up the Obamaphone ( unless he is too busy with his young honey )...
30m people uninsured... up from 10m
costs up by an average of $3,000
quality of care down
waiting lines up
death panels deciding whether ot not your loved one can have treatment
yup... happens EVERY TIME a democrat tries to ‘fix’ anything
welcome to detroit
I thought it was a tax and/or a punishment for disobedience.
There's no way this is a tax.
The President has made it quite clear that the $2,000 a person has to pay for refusing to buy health insurance is a punishment for disobedience, not a tax.
--Press Secretary Jay Carney
When the process began, there were, according to Hussein, 35 MM people without insurance.
After spending 10 Trillion$ we don't have, we will have 30MM.
What can possible go wrong?
If we can't force 50 million people today to produce even the value of a safety pin by way of work, how will the "government" create the wealth necessary to cover everybody?
Unless common sense and the laws of simple arithmetic are legislated out of existence, or change and hope can conjure up the wealth fairy, the only thing on the horizon is 317 million souls starving slowly... or worse.
It was never about insuring millions of people. It was about putting control of 1/6 of the nation’s economy in the hands of unionized bureaucrats to insure that Democrats always have electoral foot-soldiers anytime they need them.
The Democrats have always been about the exercise of naked power and control and this was their most overt display of it yet.
30 million people didn’t have healthcare insurance before Obamacare - mainly young and/or well-to-do types who thought they didn’t need it and were ready to self-insure in case of medical needs, and millions who were eligible for Medicaid but didn’t bother to sign up - it’s called freedom of choice......
