I’m going many times.
First, because I love the story, and Orson.
Second, because I loathe, despise, hate, and f*rt in the general direction of liberals.

I might break decades of avoiding movie theaters to see this, just to spit on liberals.

I enjoyed the book, but how do you know the movie is anti-liberal?

I read the book recently and thought it was a bit silly. I was actually surprised to see it coming out as a big movie. We went to see Red 2 last weekend and there was a preview of it before the movie.

In the book, there was a bit of a twist in the story (at the end, of course). The trailer appears to show the twist as being the main plot of the movie. If so,then the movie makers didn’t understand the book at all.

It looks good, but it doesn't seem to look an awful lot like
Ender's Game—the majority of which was about Ender's conflict with his
schoolmates at Battle School.
Unless they've seriously reworked the story for the screenplay, in fact, they've given away the ending.

I know nothing about this story, so I googled it and read some Gay/Lesbian website which advocates a boycott because the author is anti-gay marriage. My question is this: Is this part of a series? Do I need to see or read another film or book before seeing this? Thanks. Looking forward to seeing the movie having read the GL website.

Card was heavily involved in the writing and production.

Card, heavily involved in the film of his story, took a different take on it. The book’s “McGuffin” was the twist at the last “game”; there will be a different one for the film.
No, I don’t know what it is :)
We’ll have to see the film :D

You can read the book Ender's Game if you want to (I liked it a lot), but it's probably not necessary. There are no other movies. This is the first movie adaptation.
