Do his amps go to 11?

I still enjoy listening to The Dixie Dregs once in a while. Fun stuff.

Rock n roll FReepers are the best. Thanks for posting this. I haven’t heard Steve Morse in years. I love to see these videos. I’m sharing with my rocker mates now to get us jazzed for the Absolute Zero (www.abzero.org) gig tomorrow night in Shibuya. Thanks man. \m/(. .)\m/

Wish I could be there. Dated a girl from Japan, once upon a time. My Mom really liked her.

Same. The Dixie Dregs were a favorite way back when. Seen him at big events and up close in a small room. Amazing.

I remember seeing him in a live concert that the USO put on aboard the USS John F Kennedy in 1986.

Great stuff. Deep Purple made a great choice when they picked him to replace Ritchie Blackmore. Their new album sounds amazing.

Thanks. I had a professor
(Professor Emeritus now, BTW), who mentioned Deep Purple. He said they were successfull because they could actually read music.

That's true, certainly true for all members of the band, up to and including Ian Paice. The ONLY drummer for Deep Purple for more than 40 years.

Listen to "Fascinating Rhythm" from Gershwin

Now listen to "Burn" from their last album with Ritchie, before Tommy Bolin joined.

They were all competent and talented musicians and they defined the genre of heavy rock based around a guitar/keyboard lead instrument and showcasing a player's abilities.

I have loved listening to Steve Morse for years. His Tumeni Notes is amazing, but my favorite has always been his Country Colors.
