Hown unAmerican is it to molest pizza?
To: nickcarraway
Perhaps the officer felt threatened by the pizza.

How is this any different than some kid messing with their food at a drive up window?

Thank goodness the teen didn’t have a dog in the car. We all know how that would have turned out. Thugs with badges certainly ought never to get PAID administrative leave.

Or is the 19 year old crying wolf to get the officer fired for pulling him over? Not that hard to get your hands on pepper spray.

Well, yeah, but we’re still not a police state, because nobody’s dog got shot.

FR needs a “jackbooted thugs” ping list.
Nasty cops are beginning to be quite common now.

Tavera, 30, allegedly pulled over a 19-year-old named as John Doe for a traffic violation on Sept. 8, 2012, when he noticed a pizza in the back seat and pepper sprayed it without the teen noticing, the release stated. Why do I have the feeling something is missing from this story?
Like how you manage to pepper spray a pizza in the back seat without the driver noticing?
Even if the back window is open you still have to reach in and open the box, spray the pizza and then close it back up.
And pepper spray does have an aroma. Or at least it use to. Now days who knows.

Some Americans prefer a little spice on their pizza =)

I didn’t read the whole article but was pepper spray detected on the pizza, if so, then it makes sense it was the deputy.
If not, maybe they all got food poisoning?
Anyone know?

“He is currently on paid administrative leave.”
Yep. That’s what the average citizen would get, a paid vacation courtesy of the taxpayer.
