We shall see.
Likely, the frogs will get lazy and lay waste to the place even worse.
Ohdoggies! I do NOT envy you the trip to FLA!
I have never had any interest in the place, never wanted to visit, never wanted to see it, even though a sister lived there over 20 years.
The Midwest and Virginia were wet enough to last me the rest of my life...If my grandson had been born in June instead of December, it would be five years or more between visits. Just sayin’.
Poor Frank. He just needs to man up, poor tyke and look forward to your return.
Well.....that’s their uniform.....high class to the end.....
I explained that his dad and his brothers and sisters would take care of him, but it didn’t help. “Why would you want to leave this country without me?!?”
Not. Possible.
Ummm... actually more often called the Great Black Swamp
Swamp bottom makes for good farmland.. Residents in the former swamp still pay a portion of their property tax to drain the swamp.
Well, actually it is to maintain the ditches that drain(ed) the swamp...
All too possible.
Especially if we mess with their genes.
Okay, so it is the Great BLACK Swamp.
Wonder how my forebears came up with that one?
I know, originality wasn’t the order of the day back then.
Poor Frank. He obviously missed the point. It’s not that you want to be without HIM, but that he needs to be without YOU! He may not understand it immediately, but if it is presented to him, he will be well-adjusted by the time you come back.
Especially if OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS reinforce the idea that it is something that is good for HIM!
And I will now sit down and shut up. I think I have input enough “charisma” into the Tax-chick household today to last for the next 16 months, give or take a few...
I don’t think he gets it at all. He’ll live ... and he can’t be any more clingy than he already is!
I told Bill what you said about researching the new job, and he looked slightly interested ;-).
Bill? Was interested in something I said???
WHOA! (Be still, my heart!)
I hope he at LEAST thinks about it!
He really does want to be successful ... as long as he doesn’t have to try too hard or anything.
If Bill is prepared with all the information he can glean about whatever course in life he wants to pursue, he will never fail. It may be that he DOES have to try hard, but when is something NOT worth the effort?
The key to anything he does is life is to BE INFORMED!!! He can’t do that by playing computer games. If this is what he (and Tom) choose to do, they will be expert in computer games and will base their lives on the successes they win in a virtual world.
It will not help either of them function in real life, no matter how much schooling/education they receive.
Igor was an educated idiot. Had it not been for his military background and the jobs he had in aerospace because of it, my entire life, and that of my children, would have taken a totally different turn.
Being educated doesn’t mean one is smart. There ARE people who are “professional students” who continually attend college because they don’t want to work in any field that will gainfully employ them. They want to delay the repayment of the student loans for as long as possible, so they continually attend classes.
That is NOT what I have imagined for your children. Anoreth is such an excellent example for the rest of the kids, and I don’t think she realizes the influence she has.
Make a difference, Anoreth! You GO, Girl!
(Kicking soap box out the door...)
I understand they're all in Quebec now...
*groan*
Actually, it was descriptive. The area was marsh, deciduous trees, grasses, and moraines (a.k.a. sandbars). Quite a few trees as a matter of fact. Deciduous trees lose leaves in the fall. Massive amounts of leaves settling in the water turn it - black.
They called it as they saw it... ;-)
As long as you still have the soap!
Too bad neither of the boys wants to join the Marines ...
That is true.
Though some staged a failed invasion of Michigan.
I hear tell the humiliations they suffer there.
Perhaps we can reward their longsuffering by giving them Detroit?
