What stupid people will say just to get attention.

While the Koran states that Mohammed was illiterate (and hence unable to read the Bible that the Koran repeatedly parodies), the New Testament shows Jesus reading (Luke), and shows that He was a scholar of Jewish law, which He presumably gained by reading (but of course, being God, He was the source of the Law, and hence it all gets complicated.) Let's just say that God could read, since He invented books, reading, language, the Bible....

This Aslan fellow is a the real idiot.

Wait until Reza explains to the muslims that Mohammed didn’t really fly on horseback through the skies.

Luke 4:16-21
16 - And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.
17 - And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
18 - The Spirit of the Lord [is] upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
19 - To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
20 - And he closed the book, and he gave [it] again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.
21 - And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

What idiots these anti-Christian writers are.

Jesus was reciting Torah in the synagogue as a youth...
(and he even impressed the Jerusalem Temple priests)

and he quoted numerous Hebrew Bible precepts and teachings, indeed he was steeped in them....and he taught from them throughout his brief ministry

Jesus was anything but illiterate (and it would be a silly charge to levy against him anyway, given all that he taught and all that he represents)

(and he even wrote something, we know not exactly what) in the sand...

Remember that part of the New Testament where Joseph and Mary lose track of young child ( Jesus ), and they finally find him in the temple where he’s impressing the Rabbis with his knowledge of the Torah...?

I'd like to see someone in the media this self proclaimed "expert" in all things religious about Mohammed, and his opinion as to whether he was just a failed military man who ran and hid until he hatched his plan to claim he was some kind of prophet.

Until he speaks, in detail, about his position on all things Islam, he is just another propagandist, ala Joseph Goebbels.

Muslims place a high value on illiteracy, also on subhumanity.

Yeah, I can so imagine Rachel Jeantel giving the Sermon on the Mount.

Our Lord was very familiar with scripture during the time of his ministry.

In fact, even as a child his knowledge of scripture was exceptional.

I’ve read the book, and its thesis has relevance to the current struggle between jihadist Islam and the West. The thesis is that Jesus was a zealot (small “z” to distinguish him from Josephus’s 4th philosophy) who advocated violent overthrow of political Rome and religious Temple Authorities; he was crucified for sedition.

This thesis is a reply to Pope Benedict XVI’s Regensberg Address, who argued that violence in the name of religion is irrational. Alsan, in essence, shouts back: “Hey, you Christians, how dare you criticize Islam for its origin and tradition of Violence, when your Messiah did the same?”

No, Jesus was not illiterate.
John 8:3-11
New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)

3 The scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in adultery; and making her stand before all of them, 4 they said to him, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the very act of committing adultery. 5 Now in the law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?” 6 They said this to test him, so that they might have some charge to bring against him. Jesus bent down and wrote with his finger on the ground. 7 When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let anyone among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” 8 And once again he bent down and wrote on the ground.[a] 9 When they heard it, they went away, one by one, beginning with the elders; and Jesus was left alone with the woman standing before him. 10 Jesus straightened up and said to her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?” 11 She said, “No one, sir.”[b] And Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you. Go your way, and from now on do not sin again.”]][c]

OK, fine. Aslan is an atheist and does not believe the Bible. Well, to be more precise, he apparently is a worshiper of Satan since he claims to worship the strange god of Mohammad who encouraged his 'prophet' to kill, rape, lie, and to promise sexual and culinary fantasies to his most devoted disciples (who would earn their way into their 'Playboy Mansion promised land' by butchering anyone who disagreed with Mo).

So he rejects evidence and does not believe. Take a number.
I'm just mystified about his alleged story of converting from islam to Christianity and then back again. To convert from islam to Christianity is in many cases a death sentence. Why would anyone attempt such a thing unless they were absolutely sure? Seems like a bizarre tall tale to me.

Never mind that Jesus read in the temples.

It’s kind of hard to be illiterate when you are God, after all.
