Art Bell, radio's master of the paranormal and outward edges of science, will return to the microphone on Sept. 16 with a new nighttime show on Sirius XM Radio.
Bell was one of radio's top syndicated voices in the 1990s before walking away from his nightly show in 2002 due to family issues. He worked occasionally after that but hasn't been on the air since Halloween 2010.
"I missed it terribly," said Bell, 68, whose weeknight show will air live from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. ET. Sirius is building a studio at Bell's rural Nevada home where he will work.

You obviously remember that guy. I remember him having Ed and Lorraine Warren, Micchio Kaku, and a whole slew of others on. Always liked his Halloween “Ghost to Ghost” shows.
Does anyone actually know when Art will air again? In 2015? ... John B. Wells has an outstanding show, and he is a deeper thinker than Noory who is a butt kisser. There are several forty+ minute pieces from Wells’ program on Youtube, ‘CAravan To Midnight’. Give him a look-see.
BTW, thanks for the ping. I actually DO like Art Bell and will probably subscribe when he gets something actually back up and running.
They ought to just put him back on the sasquatch show, Noory`s getting a bit tiresome, especially after what he did to John B. Wells there.
He tried a new show several months ago- sometime in 2014
One of his first guests was a guy who claimed his dog was killed by an alien, and he brought home the alien body in a blanket, and the government broke in and took it
He had nice convincing photos and everything.
That was like 15 years ago... it was one of the most listened-to and repeated Art Bell shows.
Then last year the idiot came on Art’s new show and said the creature used to come out of the freezer and hide in his garage and disappear through the wall, and it occasionally comes back to see him...
Even Art was not buying his story any more and you could tell the complete disappointment in his voice like I had never heard from Art ever before.
July 2015, after his non competitive agreement with Sirius ends.
I really used to love Art, and hated to see him walk from the show like he did. He was at the very pinnacle of success when he did that, so it came as a shock to his millions of fans.
When he tried to come back about a year ago, he wound up having some sort of dispute with the show’s hosting company, and it flopped right out of the gate. What I took away from that, is that Art thinks he’s got more cache’ and market value than he actually does.
We’ll see if he can make it go this time, but he’s also been off the air a mighty long time. I don’t know if he’s even got the chops to do it anymore.
I won’t subscribe to Sirius-XM, not one dime. I refuse to support Howard Stern and Playboy and stuff. What is there, like 1 conservative-leaning channel on the whole thing?
I remember someone saying that they had an alien locked in their freezer and it liked strawberry ice cream or something.
Funny thing, a long time ago Peter Jennings had a Nightline special about UFO’s and stuff, and there was also a claim that aliens liked strawberry ice cream.
I don’t have the foggiest clue what airs on the Sirius radio network. I just know that I’m not willing to pay a monthly fee to listen to radio.

I think they saw Wells as a growing threat to Noory. I liked Wells a lot and wish I could pick up his current show.
Noory is so-so but his butt kissing gets old.
I used to drive a lot. The Sat radio was a godsend. I could listen to music/news/sports, whatever.
It was worth whatever they charged. Now that I am back to normal, perhaps not so much. But when you are driving cross country, it is wonderful.
If I had to live my life on the road, I suppose that would justify the cost of satellite radio. Being in a large metro area, I'm surrounded by more choices of broadcasting / programming than I can shake a stick at.
To be honest, I never did like Noory. The guy seemed fake to me from day one, and he still sounds fake after all these years.
I thought it was a huge mistake for Art to turn Coast to Coast over to him. He was barely qualified to empty Art's ashtray, let alone, take over his mic.
