A baby, weighing 13.4 pounds and 57cm long, has been born naturally.
Jasleen, a baby girl, was born at University Hospital in Leipzig, Germany, on July 26, making her the country's largest-ever.
Stephen Lyttle, who tipped the scales at 16lb 5oz when born at Kempsey Hospital on January 26, 1963, is Australia's heaviest. The average weight of an Australian baby is 3.37kg, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics.

That’s not an infant. That’s a toddler. She gave birth to a toddler.
And then there’s all those jokes about falling in and finding another guy in there looking for his car keys so he can drive out.
Some of us prayed for, and got, C sections. After the first they really don’t let you choose the next time(s). Lawyers put a stop to that practice.
It wasn’t a question of ‘stiches’. It was a question of WHERE those stitches would be.
This women will likely never be the same again.

I'm betting the third baby came out easier. If this woman has any more, the baby will have its first experience on a water slide during birth.

My dad was born on the kitchen table on their farm in 1912. He says he weighed 12 pounds. I’m thinking though that since he was born in January, they had to wait a day or two to take him out to the barn where the scale was. Anyway, 4th child, big baby.
Thanks for sticking up for us WD...truly! I don’t get offended too easily, but I’m getting a little tired of all the nasty comments made about women that aren’t absolutely perfect...a thread I saw yesterday just about took the cake. Being a conservative woman, I try to show respect toward men. But more and more I’m seeing such nasty, hateful comments about women on FR. Sometimes “we” deserve it and I’ll even join in when it’s warranted, but not over stuff like this.

I agree with you, beaversmom. I sometimes have a hard time being polite to men in my real life, because I start thinking that they’re like the ones here.

Thanks TC. And I saw a post of yours earlier today about certain magazines in PX’s and BX’s and meant to post in agreement with you on that. Lots of things to get upset over in this world, but that ain’t high on my list. We are in agreement today. :)
