A knife- and baseball bat-wielding man found himself outgunned Thursday when he entered Discount Gun Sales and smashed a display case, police said.
They've arrested and identified that man as Derrick Mosley, 22, and say he got his hands on an unloaded semi-automatic handgun before the store's manager drew his own.
The manager, whose name has not been released, commanded Mosley to drop his weapons and get down on the ground, according to police. The manager did not immediately return a message seeking comment.

He should have waited ‘til he bashed him with the bat and had him on the ground beating him, and then shot him dead. That way Rev. Al and company would have a chance to ruin his life.
This was obviously a case of racial profiling. He might have just wanted to play soft ball and accidentally broke the display case./s

If so, he would have charged the owner once the gun was pulled. Perhaps he changed his mind, but if suicide wasn't his intent, he's lucky to be alive after this stunt.

The perp could have been carrying a loaded magazine for the very handgun he was attempting to get out of the smashed display case. The bad guy could have had a loaded handgun ready to fire in a couple of seconds.
Thank you, this was the very first thing that came to mind when I read the article title. What a maroon, NEVER bring a knife or a bat to a GUN fight... the outcome is inevitable. I guess the guy never saw the movie ;o)
