Of course, that is if the taxpayers will pony up billions for them.

Maybe Jerry can do us a favor and move the Cowboys there, at least our streets would be safer.

Jacksonville moving to LA would be my guess ... franchise is struggling financially, there are three NFL teams in Florida.

Why does LA need an NFL team? We already have the Occidental College Tigers.
To: BenLurkin
Los Angeles already has a professional football team. The USC Trojans.

Screw the Cowboys.

"Cowboys Owner: At Least 1 NFL Team Could Come To LA"
Good, create a new franchise in L.A. and add the team to the NFC East.

So which city is being held up for a new stadium this year?
Not having a team in LA is probably the most profitable thing to happen to the league. The threat of every team moving to LA when the old stadium isn't quite as shiny as it was when built gets the city councils to turn the taxpayers upside down and give them a good shake. The threat to move to Portland, Oregon (the next largest metro area without a nearby NFL team) just isn't nearly as frightening as the thought of the LA Bengals or LA Vikings.

Ohio Could send them a pro football team but I don’t think the Buckeyes would want to move.

Could yes, will not. The LA threat is too powerful. Almost every team in the league has gotten a new or refurbed stadium since LA became empty, and some of them are old enough that the teams are starting to gripe about them. The lack of a team in LA is a license to get taxpayer money.

Here's hoping that Frank McCourt tries to finagle his way into this and muck it all up for another ten years.
If not, I'm OK with the LA Rams or LA Vikings.
But please not the LA Chargers.
Better to have a team that is really good or really bad rather than one that is always just slightly better than mediocre.
To: BenLurkin
So Jerry ... sell the Cowboys to a Texan (or to the fans), buy the Rams, and move them back to LA. Problem solved.
