Warner Bros. ended their panel with a big surprise, or two. After Tom Cruise and company had shuffled away, out came Zack Snyder to take the chairman

Wow! That’s shaping up almost as good as King Kong vs Godzilla!
>>Now that is the Batman film we have been waiting for for 25 years.
Don’t get too excited. They’ll probably be gay in the movie.
Not from Zack...
That was my first thought too.
There is one scene, in the animated series, where Superman meets Batman for the first time. Superman goes to shake Batman’s hand and Batman flips him over onto some tables.
Batman does this so he can plant a locater bug on him, so he can learn his secret identity.
I so want this scene!
For Superman to be for "Truth, Justice and the American Way" these days is to be naive at best and a tool of opression at worst. Batman took Superman and showed him the errors of aligning blindly with the government. This is as good of a decision as putting the Joker in the second Batman film, and the technology of using cell phone taps to find him.
If you want to re-tool Superman for modern times, this is the way to do it.
Do note that the passage Lennix read was the following one, suggesting that Batman and Superman might not be the best of friends in the new movie:
I want you to remember, Clark in all the years to come, in your most private moments, I want you to remember my hand at your throat. I want you to remember the one man who beat you
THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS!!!!!
“I want you to remember, Clark in all the years to come, in your most private moments, I want you to remember my hand at your throat. I want you to remember the one man who beat you ”
Too cool. Never been to a comic-con, never had the desire to go, but I would’ve loved to have been there for that.
They had a whole line together, World’s Finest Comics, lasted over 300 issues. Sometimes it wasn’t Bats and Supes but most of the time it was.
Exactly what I was going to say.
How about Tarzan and the Planet of the Apes 2014. Now, they could band together to stop ivory poaching while counseling the elephants to reduce gas emissions.
Win win.
Can’t wait to stand in line for that.
Sequel.
Next up, (2015) Eskimos and polar bears band together in the movie of a life time to save baby seals, walrus tusks, and the tundra form evil Hollywood exploitation of the illiteraaate in a movie you have been waiting for again.
green house gas coming to a theater near you.
Thumbs up...something.
